This FJ-40's Cottonland pledge name is officially known as ...............................
Basketcase
1981 FJ-40, bone stock, mostly unmolested by humans but radically violated by the rust bug.
Looks like it was "born" in Colorado, went to Wyoming, then to Mississippi. Jackass in Wyoming rhino-lined the truck, inside and out from the top of the tub down.
Everywhere there is bare metal, it is in perfect condition.....firewall, hood, hard top, doors (except very bottom on fronts) and the amby doors......all in great shape.
Front fenders, rockers, rear fenders, footwells, 100% roached out as bad as any Cruiser I have ever seen....maybe the worst case I have ever seen.
Mechanically, I give it a 9 out of 10. 124,000 miles. Solid. Runs great. Gas has been in tank about 4 years. I am going to stabilize it and run it out. Not going to deal with the mess of draining it.
Immediate plans are to pull the doors off, top and drive it a bit.
Unmolested 30 year old motor......
123,000 miles....sweet
Cool, complete interior...seats need real covers....
Body is ROACHED.....
Took it out on the farm for some 4x4 testing.....all worked excellent, climbed some nice hills, Aisin carb kept it purring nicely
Light is hanging there because the post is rotted off

.....but it works
