Here are some pics of mine.

did you find out if you have a gauge transfer from one wire type to another....ie plastic clip connector? I may need to come eye ball it again......I dont need to do anything with it right now necesarily but I gotta know how this different gauge wire stuff works!!! thanks

for anyone who cares or saw my ranting in the last 2 pages....a DUI runs a 12 gauge wire direct into the unit. Apparently a factory set up has a male/female plastic connector because it doesn't need a 12 gauge wire, rather something smaller because the points can't handle that much voltage.

Pull the cap and check wiring on inside where terminal goes through housing, if you are running a 12 gauge wire it will be more than big enough, larger wire flow more current (amps) but the light bulb motor or what ever will only draw the current it needs to operate so a larger wire would not over feed it.

In need of a bikini top or, preferably, a safari top (covers rear seat passengers as well).

If you have one for sale let me know.

Also let me know which brands you have had the best experience with and where did you buy it. Didn't know if there is a top to avoid or not. I've had Bestops for the zuk before and thought they were fine.

Any suggestions ?

I bought the TPI Family bikini and it was the best. I think TPI is still at it. Look them up.

That's the one that popped up when I searched. Pic looks like it was from 1980.. So wasn't sure if they were still any good.

Any of our preferred vendors do tops?

I have one if you want to try it out. I don't expect to need it much since going to the "hard bikini".

That would be great lash thanks!

What type of rail is on the windshield? In other words do you have to slide front of bikini top in from one side or does it does pop in into front rail?

The rear of the bikini is held down by straps, correct? Do they attach to roll bar or go down to body? I couldn't tell I the pic.

I have a couple of the pieces where the straps attach to the body if you need them.

There is a two piece round chanel on the top of the windshield and footman loops on the rear for the straps. It also has straps on the sides for the cage B-hoop.

I don't want to remove the chanel or loops. I was thinking you might throw mine up there to test the fit and decide if you like it. You don't want mine since it was damaged and repaired after my GreyRock flop.

The hard bikini is actually most of the roof from the 62 I parted out years ago. It does not loudly pop against the cage and drown out the tunes and make conversation impossible like the bikini did. Not to mention, If I ever roll it, the metal should provide a little more head protection than vinyl. I highly recommend a sheet of aluminum, carriage bolts, and short sections of thick fuel line as bushings. I might add a thin foam rubber strip where the top sits on the cage.

Sheila wants a removable top (shaddap). I will probably do a sheet
Metal safari top on the zuk, though.
