Sooooo jealous!

Looks right at home and not crawling malls!

Had to address a few issues before getting out on the trails.

Unfortunately, my rebuilt axle from CVJ Denver blew a boot over the winter... I think it had something to do with the -40* nights here in Montana...

Anyhow they are warrantying the failure so that is good and this time I had them install OEM boots where as before they used an inferior boot. I thought I was buying OEM but I guess I didn't. Anyhow they've been good to me so far. I'll post up if things go south.

While I was in there I finally popped in the 555 Ball Joints I had laying around for the lower control arms.

An impact gun isn't required but can I say it makes things about 1 kerbillion times easier!

New LBJ's went in without a hitch. The improvement in ride is definitely noticeable and that annoying squeaking during all turns and rebound of the suspension is certainly welcome!

New replacement axle under warranty. Time will tell if this is the real fix or not.

Next up is new TRE's and Steering rack bushings.

CV seems to be working well... :bounce2:

I’m finally ready to finish out the drawers... only started a year ago

Raptor Liner before work in the morning if the weather cooperates. Then carpet, then reinstall the drawer faces, fridge/stove slide, and reconnect the wiring... then enjoy.

Masking off what won’t get lined...

Trying to mitigate overspray where I don’t want it.

Plastic covering the rest... I’m sure the first blast of coating will send the Raptor Liner flying!

Anyone know the working time on the raptor liner once mixed? I’m wondering if the 1 lite bottle I got will flash on the box before “cooking” off in the bottle. I’d like to get 2-4 coats on this thing but only bough 1 liter of liner.

Got the liner laid down... one of the few products I’ve used that exceeded my expectations.

I used a 1 liter kit from Raptor Liner and their gun...

After masking for days I was ready to shoot, stuff laid on well. I ran at 50psi at the gun...

I pulled the drawer faces and the side panels to get them totally covered...

The texture came out really even and it’s drying with no streaks, pretty rad.

@REZARF Those look sharp! You may have to take up a side business selling to others!

What size are your KO2's?

Sure thing, I need to charge $1 Kerbillion dollars and my wait time is 1-2 years.... sounds like a slam dunk! :D Thanks for the kind words but this was a pretty involved project.

Oh I am realizing just how involved. I made my own CAD rendering based on your inspiration. But Im liking the single drawer idea with room for a Fridge/Freezer.

I like my design for sure, but I had 85% satisfaction with the cubby hole/deck and fridge platform... it’s honestly better now for sure but the work to get to this level was more than I thought.

I’m stoked I just don’t want to do another set anytime soon.

Started the assembly...

Got the drawer carpeted... came out nice. Toyota factory matched carpet called Hydro Turf. It’s a true OEM MATCH in color and texture. Laid it out in the sun to warm up, then glued it down with some 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. I’m thrilled that it’s going in for the last time!

Carpet is so nice! I’m in love with the OEM match. Black carpet is easy but there’s 10 kerbillion shades of tan! This one is dead nuts accurate!

Recessed the T-Track down inside the carpet for a streamlined feel and a smooth surface on top for sleeping and hauling gear.

Southco Latches for each wing but the fit is good enough not to be needed till the carpet sets in and wears.

I only need to witw up the last few widgets and plumb the faucet and she’s done!

Very nicely!

Does hydro turf also have the grey carpet? That looks great and I like the matching carpet route. I thought about black marine grade myself but color/style match looks even better!

I am not sure, I used these guys Keyston Bros in Denver when I lived there. Not sure they could match it without a sample. The guy who helped me took one look at my cruiser, went inside looked a three different products and said "This is it..." we took a sample outside in the sunlight and my jaw hit the street. I was stoked.

The 100's can hang in the rocks... though it wouldn't be my first choice for the Rubicon.

Hey @REZARF I am not too Far from you - I am in victor ID - id love to maybe wheel sometime. I think I joined Rising Sun just as you were moving to Montana.

Truck looks great - those drawers are incredible.

Thanks man, come on over the 406 Cruiser guys have some great runs planned still before winter shows next month 😂. They’re doing the Magruder Corridor over Labor Day.

Check out the clubhouse here on mud for details. For some reason it’s lopped into the central region not the west.
