yes, removing the resonator does give very nice results. It's not a huge difference but you can tell. I can take a video if you would like. Biggest difference is while idling and low RPM driving. No difference inside though.

A video would be great, thanks. Are you running a stock muffler? I'm not looking for a big block sound, just something a little ballsy-er.

You'll be disappointed if you want a throatier exhaust note.

Are you speaking from experience? I'm going to cut out the resonator too; heard it gives nice results.

Of course I'm speaking from experience.... maybe you missed my DT Headers Dyno Result Thread.

If you cut the resonator out or make other mods you will get a different sound... headers or not. Others who are simply adding the headers to a unmodified exhaust shouldn't expect it to change.

The last post in this thread that mentioned how many DT had left, said 3 sets were on the shelf.

I have a set I won't be needing anymore, so when DT sells out, it will be for sale. :)

I got one of the extras so I guess it's two sets at DT now.

Mine arrived today! Instructions say to leave original header gaskets in place but the package included 2 gaskets. Is this a typo? Kind of makes me nervous about the rest of the instructions.

The included instructions are pretty general and go back to the first buy where the recommended re-using the gaskets, now you get new gaskets with the kit. I would follow the write up a few posts back. I just did mine and it's really straight forward, you just need tiny hands with superhuman strengh. Most important for me was a medium depth 14mm 12-pt socket and a flex head 28" 1/2-drive breaker bar. That and lifting the driver side of the engine. Have fun.

Started my install tonight...figured I'd spend some time getting the splash guard off and maybe the heat shields...an hour later I've got the passenger manifold off (need to disconnect the cat/downpipe so I can actually get it out):

~3 hours in, passenger side done:

Any headers still available from 3rd group buy? If not I would be interested in getting in on the 4th.

Ditto for me for another group buy. With $5 buck gas< they should pay for themselves in about a week!

False.

Reason 1, they do not improve fuel economy.

Reason 2, you will stomp on the gas harder because you like the extra torque

someone who wants a set has to set up the group buy, thats why I did this one. Call Nick and talk to hime about it

Fortunately, my wife doesn't read IH8MUD. Improved fuel economy is my story and I'm sticking to it!

I like that way of thinking. :)

I want headers, but at the speed of these buy's I'll be on the 6th or 7th...

[STRIKE]Any left? I want one![/STRIKE]

Called Nick and got mine ordered, he still has a couple left. $600 plus shipping.

Has anyone tried to replace their 02 sensors with the headers already installed? Any tips cause this looks damn near impossible. From below, not enough room to move the wrench, from above no room, and from the fender well not enough room to do anything.
