Screw it....I'm in. I have a slight tick on the driver's side, and I am about to add about 200 lbs to the vehicle weight so the extra ponies should help. The stainless steel change put me over the edge. I sure hope there is an extra set when I call tomorrow.

Last time I checked DT made a few extras. Mine got here today, I'll post pictures tomorrow night. I haven't really seen any high quality up close pictures so them yet so I'll get a couple.

I emailed Nick and will call tomorrow. Last I heard there were 3 extra sets from the 3rd run. How much was shipping?

These things are heavier than I thought. Quality looks excellent. The installation sheet was written by a monkey but you get the point.

Robbie installed my headers today. Sounds great with no more tick. Remember to tie the ac line out of the way on the drivers side. Lesson learned from nakman :D

He said these bolts on easy on the passenger side, but is a little more difficult then the 2nd run set on the drivers side. Wasnt exactly sure why, just less room for his wrenches

Didn't know you had the "tick"? Can you feel the extra HP after all the extra weight you have?

havent really tested it yet other than around the block.

So, is this pretty much a no-brainer to go with these instead of buying OEM? OEM (with all gaskets) will be at $588 (includes tax). Mine's lasted 150k miles. I really don't care about the performance gains (I drive slow anyway), but the lifetime warranty peaks my interest. Also, if there are MPG gains, that's a bonus as well.

I guess all of this depends on if DT still has one in stock...

Thanks for the reminder Romer. There is only one line on the drivers side, correct?

The last post in this thread that mentioned how many DT had left, said 3 sets were on the shelf.

I have a set I won't be needing anymore, so when DT sells out, it will be for sale. :)

Clean, heated, well lit, huge........ all the makings of a garage that's nice to work in. I have to use 5 floods and a drop light to get my garage to light up like that! Everyone is making me want these DT headers now! I don't have any ticking....... but.....:hhmm:

Did anyone get these purely for the performance gains? Enough of a difference to justify the costs?

Robbie let you in my garage. Jesus Mary and Joseph:confused:

Ok, so now you have to let me know what vehicle you had him look at.

I didn't get them because I needed them. The extra HP should help with lugging around bigger tires and steel bumpers though. Plus I want a throatier exhaust note.

You'll be disappointed if you want a throatier exhaust note.

Are you speaking from experience? I'm going to cut out the resonator too; heard it gives nice results.

yes, removing the resonator does give very nice results. It's not a huge difference but you can tell. I can take a video if you would like. Biggest difference is while idling and low RPM driving. No difference inside though.
