xWhatever... the 80 swallows tires. Going from 33's to 35's and I still look at going "should have gone bigger"

37's are the point where your tires look right, and also the point where your rig wheels right.

Kind of a no brainer given the gear ratio you prefer for 35's is highly likely to be the one you prefer for 37's given it is only about 150 RPM difference at cruising speed.

Of course, some of you will think back to those 4.88's you got and it'll bug you just like those 35's have been bugging you :D

im wondering if a wheel spacer will clear my rubbing issue 100% or if just stepping up to the FOR springs and shocks will solve it :D id like to avoid just settling with J springs and L shocks

youll need spacers to clear the inside rub. the 8" with 4.5" bs wheels sit too closely to the frame. either new wheels with a 3.5-4" backspace, or spacers on the stock wheels. i had 1" spacers, no rub on full stuff. now im running without, and have rub on the inner wells...not that i care or it bothers me really...

Yep, 1" spacers whatever your spring choice if you are running stock rims.

1" spacers will clear up the rubbing issues for sure. It was interesting going for the short trail ride yesterday with MemphisACC, things that the transfer case needed to be locked for, were a walk in the park. The truck laughed at a LOT of things...

The lack of flex in the front was the only thing that we noticed, something I was thinking that the FOR suspension would fix. *Nudge Nudge*

Over all I am VERY impressed with the truck and the tire choice.

Wilson, what rims did you go with?

325/80/16....man I like that size. No need for new wheels.

So, if you go with this tire on stock wheels and 2.5" OME, you need bumpstop extensions and 1" spacers all around?

I would say forgo the bumpstops at first... We did NOT alter the bump stops on MemphisACC's '80... The 325/80/16s do rub some but very, and I repeat VERY minimally. I have a feeling with a 1" spacer we may or may not have to trim the inner part of the flare. There is a LOT of room in the wells with the tire fully stuffed.

Man-o-man....a set of 365/75/16 KM2's are looking good...

That's a much wider tire and I am sure that a lot of trial and error will come with them... They also seem to run pretty wide for the given size.

I have never seen one in this size...did not even know the size existed. My supplier here said there were none in the system right now. I was going to do Blue Krawlers in 37" but that means wheels. I don't like aftermarket wheels on an 80 for some reason.

That Cooper is wide too....isn't it? It looks wide even though it is an 80.

Keep it tall and skinny, 36x12.5 tsl radial is nice also, tread width is around 10"
