Anyone tried 35 tires on 200 cruiser yet?

I met a local ARB representative today. He said they installed 315-70-17 BFG AT tires on to OME lifted 200 with ARB bull bar. He said the tires fit perfectly. This size equals to 34 inches smth. So anybody tried 35s with only suspension lift?

I don't think anyone has done a full 35" tire, except on the Artic Trucks. They had to do a ton to get them to fit properly, such as flaring the wheel well.

Another problem is finding a wheel that is a 5x150 17" with the proper backspacing...unless you wanted to use spacers which is a bad idea. The factory wheels are only 8" wide, which is too tight for a 35" tire.

I'm going with a 275/70R18, FYI.

I would love 35's but I wont do spacers for the reasons JBHorne mentioned above.

I am not saying anything about spacers or wheel width or backspacing. I am just asking. If you don't want spacers just use a wheel with less backspacing. If you don't have a 17 wheel that is wide enough, use 18 or 20. I was just trying to find out if anybody fit a 35 inch tire onto the vehicle using only suspension lift.

p.s. BTW 17 inch TRD rims that some people are using on this forum are so narrow that I think the maximum tire width recommended for them is 305. So I would rather go with 18X9 wheel to be able to fit a 13,5 inch wide tire in perspective.

35" Toyo tires, on 18"x9" Goliath wheels, with nothing but front coilovers and rear springs and shocks:

The question is....do they rub??

I thought all this guy wanted was to know if someone has tried 35" on the LC with only suspension lift...I even found a picture. Now you wanna know if it rubs?

JK...knowing my car and the clearance, and you would know too, those wheels will rub all kinds!

I would be looking at the 285/75/18 tyre options (Toyo, GY etc.) if I was attempting to run a 35" tall tyre.

Agreed. The question here is kinda pointless (sorry...but it is). Having a tire "fit" with only a suspension lift is a no-brainier. Yeah, 35's fit. But they rub. I talked to ARB about this SEMA truck. The tires were put on AT the showroom floor. This was with a MAXED out ICON lift resting on the bump stops with no upward travel.

It's a SEMA truck...not a real driver.

Oh, I just seen this post. Good. I said this a year ago the second I seen the pic. Those wells are not as large as the 100 and 80 series.

Well who the hell needs to turn anyway?!?!?!?
