Hi ya. So I found two 84 pick ups and one 86 . All are 4x4. All have been sitting for some time but all there. 2 of the 3 run the owner said. Rust has take toll. So should I snag these three

And do what with them?

I guess it depends on what he wants for the set. I would be more worried about the wife...

Could probably make your money back in the two front axles, trannies, rear axle and maybe the engines? (not a huge market for a used 22r).

Lol. Sorry to bring that up.

I'm not sure what the market is for 5 speed? trannies. If they are automatics, you might be better off scrapping the aluminum (sacrilege?)

If you have the time, ebay is your friend. But after a while it just turns in to a huge pain in the butt. I don't know how ebay sellers do it.

Chappy where are you located now? I am guessing you are back from Rota?

Dyno

Dyno. Wow. Since we last talk in mugu my orders chsnged and I went to germany then I retired out the navy and movdd to iowa and work as a safety guy for a natural gas installation company. So iowa is where I am. Lol.

You can do alright in some of the interior parts such as the dash pads as well as the front hubs and tcases. Are any of them SR5's? The SR5 clusters are worth decent money. I will buy the 84's steering box if it's power steering for my FJ40 as well as an SR5 cluster for my bare bones '88 mini.

Basically, these would be perfect to get if you wanted to build one good truck. Part out the rest to recoop your $$$ and sell the rest as scrap. I know I'd be looking to grab them if they were local to me.

$900 is a steal in my neck of the woods!! Go grab them and sell me some of the parts.

Most likely gonna grab them keep ya updated . Interior s are not great. Pretty crappie if I am honest. I am looking at drive train parts as my main goal.

If you get 'em I may see if you want to sell a few parts.

Tru tru. Once I get them back I will post picks. Gonna be after the first of the year. Got one more weekend of deer hunting then christmas then new years.

Cheers.

Yeah well worth $900. Especially if you can salvage a truck bed out of one of them.

Yep, let us know how you turn out on these. I could use some body parts if not too rough and I'm not far away.
