That is a really nice area, Punta Cabras to Cabo Colonet. It is a little further than the next town though. . . it's about an hour South of Ensenada!

I think I know the hill you're talking about - last time I went the stats were:
Toyota 1 Hill 0 (guess who :D )
Ford 1 Hill 1
Jeep 0 Hill 2
Subaru WRX 0 Hill 1
Mazda MPV - didn't even try!
The ford that made it up sliced a sidewall about 3/4 the way up and had to stop to change the tire.
Then lots of throttle, spinning tires and crossed fingers before he made it.

While this is a fun location, it would be a very different trip from Guadalupe Canyon. Perhaps another time. . .

Erendera:

Beach camp---
Possible 2-4 foot surf (you should have seen it yesterday!)
Cold salt water
Marine layer -AM
Howling West wind - PM
65-70 day
58-65 night

NO:
Running water
Toilets
Palm Trees

Guadalupe Canyon:

Palm Oasis---
Individual campsites
Palapas
Hot running water
Hot Tubs
Cold pools
Waterfalls
Flushing toilets
Cantina (very small)
75-85 day
60-70 night

NO:
Marine layer
Salt crusties
Fishing
Surf

 I know which one I vote for!

 You crack me up Boyd.

I would be up for Guadalupe Canyon, I would be up for Erendera too but I think Guadalupe would be better for the Mexico rookies. No offense Bluetribal. :)

You should have seen that hill after a few race vehicles had powered up it  It was a make or break for us!!! :censor:
Toyotas 2 :flipoff2: Hill 0 :princess:

I'm up for Guadalupe in October...that is a good month for me!

Got the OK - Im in for October.

Espero que mi pequeño burro japonés esté listo. :D

ok how about the weekend of Oct 6th or Oct 20th????

WTF...??Little Japanese Burro??

Alright, it sounds like October is good for many!:)

Reminder - This is a location best enjoyed over time, Mexico time. . . . . . .

Two Questions:

What October weekend works best for those who are interested?

Is anyone interested in more than just a weekend?
Friday to Monday (or any portion thereof)?

I can't specify a weekend and it is impossible for me to check a schedule (doesn't exist :D ) that far out so I will have to cross my fingers. I could defintely use some Mexico time though. Ahhh the joy of a Ballena!

Mo, you got until then to do all the "Honey Do's" and then when October comes - Wham! Honey, I need a break.

The honey do's will be no problem, it's the buisness do's that I am worried about.

I really, really would like to make this. We will see if the 5 month old, or more importantly the 5 month old's mom will allow this to happen. I am still holding out for SnT for sure (i really really miss Pismo) would love to be able to make it 2 trips in 2 months (Lord knows I am going to need it).

Just info in case I didn't make it clear enough:

This is a family oriented location; spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, significant others are welcome (encouraged!)

You be the judge on infants, but children are allowed. Be advised, the common Desert hazards exsist in and around the campground. If your son, daughter, niece, nephew don't do camping; don't let them camp in Mexico!

Hazards subject to change without notice. Do Not Attempt. Professional driver closed course. Your mileage may vary. Passports not required. Mexican Insurance recommended. Use at your own risk. Caution, small parts. Choking Hazard. Do Not Eat. Some assembly required. Objects are Larger than they appear. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Discontine use if signs of irritation or rash appear. Consult your physician before starting or stopping the use of this product. Some settling of contents may have occurred. This side up. No Lifeguard On Duty. Product is sold by weight, not volume. Contents under pressure. FLAMMABLE. Keep refridgerated.

I"ve got a five month old and we are pretty flexible about traveling and I can tell you Baja camping is OUT of the question! What you have to do is offer to take the baby before baja so that mom can go for a weekend with the girl friends in exchange for a week in baja :D This has worked for me so far...she still doesn't trust me enough for her to leave me with jr. for the weekend, but my offer has got me off the hook a few times ;)

I can go anytime in October as of now.

Taz, one word best sums up your advice, "brilliant!".

Those dates sound good to me, I have no idea what I will have on my schedule but if I can I will come and so will my co-plot Dylan(my son).

x2 on Taz's excellent idea. The missus is not into camping with the little man yet. I will have to do a swap to pull it off also. When he is a little older he will join Tillie and I.
