I had a great time on the trails. Until i did something foolish and went up a hill climb that I should not have gone up. High walls and roots. I kicked over about 3/4 of the way up and the root busted my window and damaged the window pillar.

Totally my fault and i dont want this to reflect poorly on the group as our trail leader did an excellent job of keeping every one safe. This one is squarely on me. Hell even charles made it without any damage :-)

Im sending the truck up to Steve at LCD for the bady pillar repairs and paint. Already sourced some rear windows and working on getting those shipped
The $$$$$ Ouchies

She will be good as new in no time, dont worry. Got some parts already staged for shipping this week from AU. I might get some of the gullwing windows shipped over as well. Since the drawers pretty much negate the usage of the rear most back windows, i might move the rear passenger assembly over to the front drivers to replace that and use the gullwings to replace the both rearmost windows

Just an expensive mistake, but Steve and crew over at LCD should be able to work their magic and get her sorted. I really dont want to detract from the great job Sam did as trail leader, and the fun times we had. There were some really technical parts that Sam guided us through. Ill post some awesome pics when i get home. I really dont want people to think that this event is associated with any damage. We had gotten through the rough stuff and I picked a hard hill climb that had 2( which should have been a loud yelling clue) bypasses. Again this is on me!

Possibly the best pic I got today...

Will post pics later - hopefully tomorrow. Luckily only Chas saw my two major foul ups - one hitting a rut yesterday at warp factor 7 :steer: and one outside of the rig (today) where one second I was there and the next was nowhere to be seen

Another great time on the trails

What was once a fairly pristine 77 Series. :)

Lunch break ....day 2

This video shows the issue with this crossing ... we were already on a fairly steep downgrade, so picking up the uphill rear tire was a little disconcerting ...
