The Ford 8N, the Toyota Land Cruiser of tractors, was gasoline powered (it may even be said that the Toyota Land Cruiser is the Ford 8N of 4 wheel drive vehicles). My grandfather had one. It may even still be in the family someplace and still on the job.

Fantastic, but I tend to view the Land Cruiser comparison to the Ford Workmaster/Powermaster series tractors. Tough and evolved enough to get the hard jobs done. We had an 8N and a 9N, so I understand that they are not light weights to be overlooked.

I'm not old enough to remember tractors of that era.

Tractors like the 8N are timeless. They started in one era, but have carried the banner through every era since.

Yup. I cannot wait, but I am also starting to have concerns about being able to attend. Work has been pretty much one continuous fire drill for the last month with little sign of letting up. But my boss says that he'll protect my days off ....:grinpimp:

I sure hope you're kidding.

A little bit of both. Lots of poo hitting the fan at the moment

‎Hey Guys

Thinking I'd like to join you on this little outing. Driving a new to me BJ74 and have never attended an event like this. Thinking it would be fun. I'll be packing some rods and gear for a little Tennessee trout fishing before and after the event as well. ‎ Hoping there's room for a newbie ;)

Wow, we never had anyone attend who promised to bring fresh fish. You'll definitely get a seat at the cool table. :)

Heading out to Windrock this weekend for the Appalachian Toyota Round-Up with my family in my Tacoma and will be camping on site. If anyone wants to meet up let me know. I may also be in possession of some sippin' cello.

Sounds like fun but my wife only gave me permission to be gone one weekend in September. :)

You have fun with your Tacoma while I haul my daughters furniture with mine. :)

I plan to arrive at the event on Thursday afternoon and will post my cell number here prior to that day for those that may need additional information on Thursday or Friday.
Come join us ......

I'll get there early Thursday afternoon and do a little trail scouting. Been a while since I have been there and trails change ...

Be sure to find me a "wimpy" trail. :)

Rough pavement / graded gravel count? :grinpimp:

Graded gravel is ok however I'll need to inspect the rough pavement before hand. :)

It looks like I will be forced to beg off of this one as I have heaps of medical testing now scheduled for the same time frame and while I'm fond of you lot, I'd rather have a new kidney. I will make the Tornado Alley Fall Crawl event.

While I'll appreciate your reasoning I'm somewhat disappointed that I won't have the opportunity to meet you and see your 77 Series. Perhaps next year.
Good luck with your medical endeavors.

Hey guys, think I'm going to head that way and join y'all... may have another Huntsville guy along too. Was fun last year and should be even better at Windrock. Not sure I'll have my 60 this year, may be in the FJC.
