OK, there are a number of guys posting right now with 2LTE/2LT problems, and I'm getting the stories confused, LOL. Part of 'old age' and the busyness of this time of year.
Re-reading your first post, I just realized something. Did your smoke problem start AFTER you did all the work on your engine? Or did you do all the work to try to stop a smoke problem?
If the smoke started AFTER the work, then we can approach this problem from a different angle. In this case the issue is most likely related to something done wrong.
In either case, pulling the ECU codes is a good idea. Here is a little tech note on how to do it (from the Hilux Surf AU Tech site):
