@Mashr, those TB shafts seals are not sold separately through Toyota. That’s why I had to find them elsewhere.

Not the shaft seals. The large Squarish one that separates the two halves.

I would love to find some button head allens so if anyone knows where I can get some M3.5x60 allens please let me know.

McMaster Carr sells them. They also have a torx option.

Thanks for posting that tear down. I always assumed the shaft seals were brass - you learn something every day.

I'm kind of thinking if you tore it down and put it in a ultrasonic cleaner it would look extra purdy!

@Toast I finally acquired a Throttle body, have cleaned it mostly up and have it on the bench. Going to replace the Idle Air gasket and the Idle o ring, but thinking about these shaft seals. I really don't want to have to drill out the butterfly screws, is it possible to get the seals off the shaft in place? The throttle spring side has a spool on it with the spring wrapped around it, I removed the nut on the end and pulled a bit on it but it did not budge.

In a thread on YT, a guy there says it is possible to change seals without removing butterfly and shaft, but he did not say how.

Edit: Here is the thread on YT that mentions changing shaft seals without removing butterfly: 22RE Throttle body shaft seals / rebuild - YotaTech Forums - https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116/22re-throttle-body-shaft-seals-rebuild-313039/
