22RE Starting Problem

1987 4 Runner 22RE I am still learning about these things. Use to carbs and points New Fuel pump checked the fuel pressure and its within the factory specs. Whenever I strat the truck I have to really crank the motor and hold the gas pedel to the floor before it starts. Seems to start out very rich then leans out. Thanks in advance

Probably cold start injector.

I'd check the intake tube for major leaks as well . You could always test to make sure the afm switch is operating properly by removing the tube with the AFM in it . Turn the key to ignition on then push the door open and listen for the pump .
