Had someone ask me if I would bring in some 22r carbs as there is a need for them in. Is there?

I'm completely clueless when it comes to minitruck carbs. So I thought I would ask you if you would like to help me in seeing if one of these 4 carbs might work for you guys.

From what I can tell everyone wants a desmogged version.

Carb B and D are the ones im most familiar with, as for a need, most people go weber. But good parts are a must have. Prices are always a good way to base some 'need' on, what are we looking at?

most fellas i know run a webber. infact i just ripped my buddys aisin off his truck and slapped my old webber on there.

the stock ones are good carbs, just too complicated for most people.
and who the hell at the factory sat down and invented all that linkage crap? and why do i gotta use a dang protractor to set the choke!!??

i believe japan has some secret drugs there that us americans have not seen.

me likes ....I see you have been doing your homework and the price is right

Yes I have. But your ringer you have been bragging about just posted above that most folks just buy a Weber.

Y'all...I have a stock carb on my 85 toyo 4wd...And it now needs a rebuild...Would it be best to find a weber to put on?..as oposed to stock?...And what am i looking at cost wise...what kind of weber do i need...and what parts..?manifold etc?..If y'all can steer me in the right direction i will be very greatfull..C

I found a dude who will rebuild and install my stock carb for 220.00...That seems way cool...I cant wait to drive cross country in this truck!

Troll..........I am pulling my intake carb and all this weekend maybe we could talk on the phone about some carb options? Just basic questions really.

You have my # I would be happy to pay(as you well know) for the carb, be the test pilot, post my finds etc.

Let me know. I also need to give you another # in case I do the work at my father in laws.

Bump

Troll, any luck still on sourcing these?

I own both cruisers and a 22R powered pickup. I have purchased carbs for both. I have rebuilt carbs on both too. My hilux runs on what you labeled as "B". The last carb I bought was about $225 shipped with no deposit from national carburator. Out of the box perfect, all adjustments ended up near where it was set when shipped. This carb was off an 81' and was actually so worn out that replacement was the best option. I couldn't imagine buying a weber for a stock 22r, that's just silly.

With the Napa rebuild kit and the value of my time rebuilding the carb in the past, I'd take the $200 carb anyday just not to deal with parts cleaner.

Now cruiser carbs, mmm. Well, I currently run a weber on one because I bought an expensive $500 uber aisin that doesn't actually work (tried it on an F and a 2F). Way more power but not nearly as angle resistant as the aisins.
