Hey guys!

Time to mark those calendars for summer trail rides. We’ve got a full summer planned with a club sponsored run each month. As always, these are just the club sponsored runs, so if there’s a trail you want to run that didn’t make the list, anyone is welcome to start a thread and get a run together.

As we get closer to each trail ride, we’ll start a thread with more detailed information. My experience on these trails is limited so excuse the lack of info on some of these descriptions...

April 25th-26th
St. Anthony Sand Dunes
Get ready to pin that throttle and spray sand on the nearest club member! Located near St. Anthony and Rexburg Idaho.

May 23rd Ringing Rocks
A great introductory route for the season. Expect some moderate technical terrain. Located in and around Pipestone.

June 27th-28th Bighorn canyon / Pryor Mountain's
Wild horses, large canyons, ice caves, epic views and red dirt roads. Expect moderate technical terrain. Located in the Pryor Mountains.

July 18th Caruthers

August 15th-16th Goose Lake
Always a highlight, high in the mountains above Cooke City. Expect moderate technical Rock crawling.

September 12th-13th Montana Backcountry Discovery Route (Section 1) Island Park to Virginia city
Newly released from the Backcountry Discovery Route team is the Montana BDR, take a look at the link above! This could potently be a multi-season trail ride series if people enjoy it.

October 3rd-4th Pioneers

Caruthers has been on my wheelin bucket list for a while. Stoked for that one.
Also Cooke City is just too good to miss out on.
Excited to see new rigs and faces at the trails. Gonna be a great year!

We plan on joining you guys and gals for the August 15th and 16th run if that still works with you guys. We will be driving up from Nebraska and then the following week doing some exploring and camping out on the trails. It will be myself in a FJ80 and an old Amy buddy in his old toyota pickup.

Hey @N in N, while i am not sure I will be part of this club run in August, I know I can say the club would love to have you and your buddy join! Glad you reach out. I say keep your eye out on this 406 Cruisers section for greater detail on meet up times and locations. There should be a separate post much closer to August, FWIW. 🤙

Ok. Thanks. I will try. Not the best at all this forums and social media. Lol

Looking for info on the April trail ride to the sand dunes anybody going?

in a different thread:

In the spirit of kicking off the trail season for the club, here is a video I saw recently and thought it was fitting and relatable for most of us.

Plus, I am a sucker for 1st Gen 4rnrs.

(For those familiar with Toyota World Runners, the editing and voice over reminds me a lot of them...R.I.P.)

Cheers!

@thecruiserhunter See first post for Club runs this summer/fall. Goose Lake is amazing and will get you down to Cooke City (Beartooth Pass, Chief Joseph Pass, Yellowstone National Park).
The 40s Only run date has yet to be determined. I'm guessing August this year.

Many thanks @90WT - I'll follow these dates and hopefully get a gap to head down to join you guys!

Is it too late or gonna ruin anyone’s plans if we did the goose lake trip the weekend before or the weekend after ? It’s looking like I have medical stuff gonna be scheduled for the weekend of the 15th aug and wouldn’t be able to make it that weekend. I had offered to play tour guide and run the show like ever year.

We’ll be able to make the trip down from Canada if is the weekend after. Weekend of the 21st of Aug. my vote does not really count… lol
