A little maintenance this weekend. Yesterday I got a much needed welding job on a broken exhaust hanger. Today was an oil change. 21,441 kms or about 13,332 miles. The last oil change was at around 9,000 miles.

Runs like a top and is now ready for hunting season.
Just curious if the broken exhaust hanger is the one near the drivers rear wheel. Mine is also broken and needs repair…

Enjoy hunting season!

I have been doing a lot of predator hunting now that deer season is over. This truck is perfect because it blends in to the upland cover. I can set up my caller and toss a tripod in the back and ready to go.

It’s like the truck was made for a mounted accessory! Love the truck, glad it is getting used the way it was intended.

I’m coming up on three years of having this truck around the farm. I’ve put around 24,000 km’s on it during that time. Not a single issue.

The truck spends maybe 60 percent od the time off pavement running dirt roads and farms in the area. Hard to think of a better truck for how I use it.

I have this nagging voice in the back of my head telling me to convert it to full time four wheel drive. I had an 80 series with the same engine/transmission and loved the transfer case. The part time case is cool and all but I think I miss the full-time transfer case - at least for how I drive it.

thats a weird thing to say since you have total control over it... leave the hubs locked full time and just use the stick when the need arises...

4wd with a manual Tcase is completely different than AWD.

I too love AWD but no way I'd **** with that truck. It's perfect. Stop being crazy.
You are probably right. That’s the only thing I would even consider changing on the truck. I keep saying I’m going to send the truck back to @SNLC for a “tuneup” of sorts but the need just never arises. Maybe next summer.

It will eventually happen. Maybe not this summer but it won’t be long.

Hello,

Remember that better is the enemy of good enough.

Moreover, better, properly done, can become expensive quickly.

If you do go through that rabbit hole, try to use an OEM setup from, say, an 80 Series or a 100 Series. And do it properly. Otherwise, you are riding for a fall.

Clearly a newcomer to a Jomello build ;) I don’t believe "this is getting expensive quickly" or "non OEM" have ever been uttered.

Do it properly? lol. Okay.

I can see AWD being nice on those GA clay roads (wet) around you.

Still so so sweet sir...
