Wow this brings back memories....![]()
How many inches are you adding? We added 9 to Yoda and it really changed the turning radius; however, drives like a dream on the highway....
Stock 79-series wheelbase so 13".
Cheers
Wow.... did not expect that! Plan to do 5 point turns on Black Bear Pass then.
I have some 80 series frame sections if you need to harvest some.
It will be just like driving a factory built 79 then...Plan to do 5 point turns on Black Bear Pass then.
Not sure why that was so unexpected. Did you think we were going to make it shorter and chop the bed or something like that? Not too concerned with having a tight turning radius.Wow.... did not expect that! Plan to do 5 point turns on Black Bear Pass then.

Also, in case you are wondering about the funky cut being offset inner to outer rail, we are offsetting these on purpose. The point being, more strength with the welds being offset inner to outer rails.
Cheers
Grandpa John won’t hurt it but please make it strong for the one time he lets me drive it
Lots of ways to offset wheelbase when you are putting a different body on a frame, especially with a lift etc. You’re fixing it all front to back and adding body mounts, doesn’t mean you have to chop anything. I can appreciate stock dimensions too thoughNot sure why that was so unexpected. Did you think we were going to make it shorter and chop the bed or something like that?
