Tom I haven't been north past exit 104 (Ravine) for awhile but can say from 104 south it's fine. More than that I don't know.

As of last month at this time. No construction south of pine grove either direction.

Sweet

Well another coal mine event in the books, hard to believe it's over. Can't remember an event with better weather- hot but not too hot, with no rain. There was enough water in the park in the wet spots but no rain during the event is always a good thing.

Didn't do much socializing with too many of the club members, in fact I never saw Crusha and only ran into Pacer one time. Had a blast wheeling was out on the trail all four days. From the club I got to wheel with Tom Humphries, the Jurgeleviec brothers from CT, Matt Reed, Vince, Andy Zook, and Bruce just to mention a few. Got to give Bill Macholick a good introduction to offroading and I think he had a great time.

Word is that the expedition run headed by our own Don Diehl was very well received. All the guys on the run to whom I spoke said they had a great time. Thanks Don for stepping in and filling the void for that one!

Was able to run some trails I hadn't done in quite some time- 21, 23, 18A (pizza rock trail), and a few others. Didn't manage to get over to the property across the road but plan to do so in the near future- I'm told the cleanup and restoration of the trails is pretty much complete now that the pipeline construction is done.

Campground as usual was awesome. Even having pipeline construction right behind the campground wasn't a bother. The BBQ was the best I've had a coal mine event, at least since moving from Red Ridge campground years ago. I already have my cabin reserved for next year only 51 weeks to go.

Gary, Since you were leading, here are a couple of pictures that may complement your write-up.

Not trail or truck related, but here are a few shots of my co-pilot Melissa proving that she does smile and put down her books occasionally.

And this was the selection of books that she brought for the trip (and read them all by Saturday at the raffle so she had nothing new to read on the drive home).

Thanks for the write up @shmukster, sorry we missed you!
We had an equily good time and took advantage of the pool this year which I had not done in the past.

I ended up leading a great group of folks around the South property for a short day on Friday, then, mostly the same crew on Saturday through the North East property accross the street. We stuck to blues where we could and had a lot of fun with almost no drama.

Theo did okay on Friday but passed out after lunch and I had to get him back to camp. Saturday, @Crusha and his daughter Lily rode along and Theo was in bliss as was dad! Great day out!

Yes, thanks to @rubicondon53 and @fireball for setting up and making the overland trip happen! I was proud to see Keystone Cruisers mentioned in the CMCC program as a supporting club, in bold print no less!
