Great job guys and gals. I came back this year with 5 more Illinois trucks and they all loved it. I think our group might grow again on our next trip down. It wouldn't be that way without all your hard work and dedication, that shows through to newbies and veterans alike.

Here is a link to the pictures I took... I will have some video as well later. Dont worry, I will share it all!

Thanks again.

@wngrog it was 12 pm, but close.

Well it was my first Crawl, first time wheeling, and first time (hopefully last) flopping my 100. We went out on a few level 2s and then headed to buckhorn a level 3. The 98 with a rear locker did well, even up s*** I didn't think it could.....until this happened. We were going up a big incline with a turn half way up. Greg went up and got caught just briefly at the turn. I headed up and got caught up at the same spot in some mushy rock and mud left from the rain the day before. I made several attempts and backed up a bit each time. The last time I think we got too worried about the bluff wall on the passenger side and didn't think about what the ass end of the truck was doing. As I backed up the rear tire slipped down the wrong side up a rut and we began to see the hood......it was a pretty slow slide and rest. As we @smm3 and I were hanging sideways for 20 min I envisioned a whole smashed side. After getting out back on 4 wheels it was just a front fender has a small dent and scratches, side lenses cracked, and the rocker got smushed by a rock. Martin did a good job of chilling me as best possible. Big props for @euclid for taking control of the situation and getting us upright safely. My damn nerves were shot at that point so we parked it after recovery and I sent Greg to get it later. He of course got up the hill. I may need to just be #eaf from now on.

Oh and I'm pretty sure if @offr0adlim0 had not just out on new LCAs, ball joints, and Ironman TBs we would have ripped a wheel off when turning it back. It smoked for a min after restart but drove just like before on be return trip.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone, It was my first time at an event, and first time wheeling with other people. Killed my expectations, and going alone and not knowing anyone was no problem at all. Everyone there and all the CLC guys treated me like family. Best time i have had in quite a long time. Yall folks are all good peoples.

Damn son. You clearly ran smooth out of talent.

From the pics that could have gone way way bad.

@AndyO78FJ40 dang sorry to hear about that man, you were camped a couple spots down from us. Do you have any pics of the side after the recovery?

Also, did anyone see the green FJ Cruiser that rolled and was basically destroyed ?? (rear air bags deployed, roof rack dented into roof, snorkel cracked, multiple windows gone, multiple body damange, basically totaled). Apparently it was a couple from Texas, the husband was driving the wifes DD fj cruiser when it happened.

I've got some pictures and video of the recovery. Slow roll 1.5 times landing passenger side down against a tree. it was drivable, wind shields survived, but I don't think there was a straight body panel anywhere left. Unfortunately it happened in front of some jeeps. The 4runner broke coming up and traffic was getting directed around him, and then the roll happened.

I came to this thread in the first place to give a big thank you to the CLC directors. They were working hard. The only thing busier than them were some of Chris's night time clothing choices. Also wanted to give a big shout out to David and Greg for taking me around, showing me the park, and giving me the confidence to have some fun. I had a great time, well worth the trip. Getting to see the Turkish chariot in person was a great bonus as well. Can't wait for next year.

No need to apologize to me, neither one was my truck! We were looking for some other broke down people to help and came across this. Woody and Bossman handled the recovery. The guy whose truck it is, is in the red shirt and jeans in the 2nd picture.

Had a fabulous time!!! Fellowship, Music and food where all top notch! The Cottonland crew put on a 5 star event!!! I suspect next year will be bigger and better than this year!!!! Hope to see you guys in June at the Ramble...
