Looking at the attendee list fellas- looks like Bikenuke can't make it so it should show moved off.

Any others committed or out that are on the committed or maybe list?

What place and time would those who regularly go to Moab would recommend for the evening of Monday August 1st to eat and plan out the trails?

Earlier that day I plan to enter the park and hike to the delicate Arch. Arriving on Sunday. This is a must if you have never done it- was 17 yrs ago for me and I look forward to my daughter to see it.

We are in forsure!

I am checking in on 8-1-16 around afternoon.

Also in. Getting there the afternoon of the 1rst.

@BTUMAN - thanks for putting that together. That looks like a great set of trails to choose from.

Only trail I'd add is Top of the World. It might be a little technical for some, so I understand if anyone doesn't want to risk damage. I simply have to get some drone pics and video from that spot, so I'm going for it.

@Willy beamin - I hope everything is ok with Chuck.

Sure- I thought Top of the World and Dome Plataeu was the same? Didn't see it on the Cruise Moab list or find GPX files.
Is that the name in the book?

In the book I have (attached) they are different trails. It looks like Dome Plateau starts on the west side of hwy 128 and TotW starts on the east side of 128.

Id like to do both!

I just ordered that book yesterday. :) Now in 3rd Edition. Says it covers two new areas and adds 25 trails. I might swing through Moab on my way home from Ouray. I'd be alone though, so need to be reasonable... ;)

I found some info on Top of the World in addition to the book. It also looks like this site has the GPX file. This is the site that has the famous Poser location with that rock ledge! @kreiten This might be a great spot for our Jedi Photog! Red Rock 4-Wheelers, Inc. - It looks like this one is a favorite bucket list place for that epic photo alone.

I updated the Google Drive File to show Top of the World on the short list...

Is there a trail that leads from Moab to Ouray or mostly that we could take when we migrate to meet the others. That'd be epic

I'm thinking we can get some pretty epic pictures of this spot (and video) with the drone. This is when I had my FJ and did the Kokopelli Trail a few years back; this is the ToTW poser spot.

@Canyonero

With @Willy beamin having his priorities dead strait and coming in a bit late, I propose we meet (reservations confirmed for 10):

Where: Blu Pig
What: Dinner, Planning trails, refreshments (not necessarily that order)
When: Monday, August 1st at 6pm

The Blu Pig | A BBQ & Blues Joint | Moab Utah

@woody recommended this place and it looks good on Google.

Unless we have more confirmations I'm not aware of, there will be 5 Rigs to start.

It is probably a good idea to keep in contact just before we arrive or after we get there an during the stay in Moab. A group text might be the best way. Also, our real names may be better to use- (God knows I don't want to be called "But Man" the whole trip-
So send me the following when you can and I will put a list for us and send it out to just this list:
Mud Name, Real Name, Cell, State of Licence Plate (help with ID rigs)

I will be arriving the day before- Sunday and plan to go into Arches National Park and hike the Delicate Arch trail with my 11 yr old Daughter. If anyone wants to join up- great. Oh, also, who has kids again traveling with them? - my Daughter will want to know.

Other thoughts? Ideas?

super psyched for this!!! thanks for all of the organizing and research, I'll be rolling with the wife, my daughter(16) and her friend(16)

When I made reservations today at the Blu Pig - I told her there is a small group of us coming to do some of the 4x4 trails - she felt compelled to tell me..."you know this is the hottest time of the year here...." I think she is worried about us.

No idea what she is talking about:D:D:D My daughter and her friend did say they wanted to go somewhere that is really hot and sunny!
