Congrats and welcome to the magnetic grey metallic club!

Ask now or forever hold your peace...

Thank you T4Runner; very happy to be in the club! Asked the dealer, and he's checking with distribution. Expects an answer early next week.

Southeast Toyota (SET) does not offer glass break sensor as port installed option, which means that dealer must install. Option skipped. Would have been nice to have, but seems risky to have a dealer tech with limited experience install such a component.

Spoke with customer loyalty rep at the port; next allocation occurs 12/31/15. That is when the new LC will get a temporary VIN, and SET will be able to track its progress as it makes its way from Asia.

Without wading through this thread, what's the wait time for your 16'?

I dropped by my local dealer yesterday and they were telling me about 4 months if I order one, 6+ months if I'm waiting for one to hit their floor that I could consider.

Preesh

Surely it depends on many factors, and won't know true wait time until the keys are in my hand. Dealer told me 13 to 18 weeks on 12/12, but also said it would be a January delivery; port said next allocation occurs on 12/31. Anybody's guess. Will keep the forum in the loop, though.

Heck, I was kind of sitting on go yesterday to drive/buy. If they'd told me one was in ATL or something close I would have driven there today to consider. Dealer told me zero in the proximity.

My 09' LC is in the body shop (suicide wood goat at 75mph) and I'm in a 16' Tahoe rental. Some of the electronics in this Tahoe are the tits.... and got me thinking about a new LC.

Anyhoo..... I'll prob cool off and get over buying a new LC.

The wait time on my order was about 6 weeks. The last week seemed to be an additional week delay as it showed up in port right around the Thanksgiving Holiday and sat an extra few days. That seemed to frustrate the dealer more than me, I'm guessing because it moved the sale into December.

I mentioned the issues and delays others on forum seemed to see with ordering to my sales guy. He said dealer ability to order has to do with dealer allocation which is based on prior model sales and dealership volume/influence with Toyota. For low volume dealers that weren't selling any LCs in previous years, they could find it impossible. (Of course this was his opportunity to pump up his dealership and he took it....)

The dealer told me three months as well from order to delivery. I have just watched incoming inventory on southeast region toyota web site what is coming. After found color combo, I have contacted the dealer through internet department. Not everyone was willing to deal, but the 5th deal made a of $1000 over invoice and got the car reserved before the car even landed in GA port. Search consisted all dealers in 200 mile range. It has been 6 weeks since delivery and still love the truck.

It really can be true that the Toyota dealers don't always get to choose. I looked at the TRD Pro 4Runner...and considered buying one. My Toyota dealer (AWESOME service...truly) sat down with me in the back and we looked it up together. He saw two coming...neither of which were the color I would have chosen. What was similar here was that the TRD Pro's were (and still are) just as rare as Land Cruisers...and so it was a real glimpse into how there often truly are very few controls dealers have over the specifics of what is available to them. In this case, it came down to what was in their upcoming pipeline...and then trying to get ahold of them, or swap for them with other dealers who might have them coming their way.

Just got my 16' LX few days ago, cargo mat is on back order for a month :bang::bang:

Anyone know if there is a version that can cover the 3rd leg area? Do prefer carpet, but may also want a set of all weather for tough usage :D

Just order one from Weathertech.

I had Weathertech before... not a big fan of them, just don't really like them, they still didn't list the 16' model on their site, but I think it should be the same as 15' right?

I've been considering weathertech, but haven't tried them before. I'd be very interesting in a critical view if you care to share your concerns/dislikes. It's helpful info, and I'm sure it would be to others here as well. Thanks! -Markuson

I had the liner version, it is kind of too plastic to me (on my 10' GX), and I don't like the edge which came out to cover the side, mine just don't stay flat to the car, I drove 98% on road for 4 years, went to ski few times and didn't go off road, the area near the gas pedal has become lighter in color; I live in Vegas, not sure if the heat affect it or not, but I rarely drove with my windows open and I don't turn on heater very often (usually low temperature even in winter)

The All weather version maybe better, but I have no experience on it, back in 2010 Lexus/Toyota has issue with the pedal thing so they stop producing all weather mat for a while, I had to get Weathertech; from what I see, the all weather looks very similar to the OEM one

If you always have mud, dirt, snow, I do believe the Weathertech will serve better since it was proven by so many people in the world.

I just don't like the looks of it, but function wise I still need to give credit to Weathertech :D

Have anyone use Lloyd Floor Mat before? How did they do, thinking the Luxe or Ultimat line... (of cause not aim for off road, maybe in wrong forum asking this lol :p)

I just ordered a 2016 yesterday and get to wait the three months until it gets here. At least that gives time to order so goodies for it. Have been looking at doing an icon stage 2 to accommodate bigger tires. Did you do any suspension upgrade prior to changing wheels and tire? What size wheels and tires did you go with?
Thanks

mteilers, congrats! Picked mine up on Monday. Beautiful truck. Won't disappoint.
