The LX I bought from a Chevy dealer in NC arrived at my house two nights ago. It was dark when the guy pulling it with a Dodge Ram on a trailer showed up. I just backed it up into a snow covered dirt road by my place, pushed all the buttons to make sure everything worked, then pulled it into the garage for a closer look. Toyota makes some white color floor carpet. Wow. Have to say, It is really pretty clean, and the tan interior isn't bad either for 125k miles on it.
Had the chance to drive it today. The interior was kind of niosey it seems like there is an air leak in the front driver door. I feel a little pulsating when braking, and more so the front end feels stiff turning side to side, and when I hit a pot hole doing about 55 -60 mph the backend of the truck kind of darted side to side.
It was a little alarming. It comes with Yokohama Geolanders with some decent tread left. How are these tires in snow?
Not sure when the oil was changed so I'm going to make an appointment with the dealer in my area and ask them to check the shocks. At 125k miles would shocks be an issue? I was under the truck and didn't see anything wet. I'm happy to say the undercarriage was pretty dry and looked good. I hit the frame and skids with some under coating and sprayed the rubber bushings with 303 Protectant. I'm welcoming it to the northeast.

I ordered Husky winter carpets and they are on their way. Thinking of longer mud flaps for the front at least.
I need another key. How should I go about that?
Here's a pic of something sticking out of the pass. side seat track. What is it?

First things I'd check: lug nut torque, tires balanced, tire pressures.

My AHC shocks were visibly leaking at ~105k but weren’t using fluid or showing any other signs of an issue. You might check the fluid level in the reservoir in the rear passenger wheel well.

I can do that. A quick search ( which I should have done first ) on the tires shows favorable results. I just didn't want to balance tires I was replacing. The pressure is at around 30 each tire right now.

Yes, thanks, forgot to check that.. I'm pulling the plastic off the engine bay today too..

Anyone know what that black plastic thing is sticking out of the seat track? Should I just pull it out of there?

Less than a month behind the wheel. This truck is pretty hot! Here's some pics. Drives like the 80 series I had. The V8 is awesome. Love the lines on the hood from the driver view. The 160 mph speedo is cool too. The front end looks cool. I added rubber under the front to change the look a little.
With 126k miles I need to replace leather and the console lids front and rear.

Pretty sure it is just vanity trim to reduce the sharp edge of the metal on the track.

It’s been a while.. what did you end up doing with it?

I had the same issue on my ‘14 LX. While the plastic is sticking out and your seat is forward, start pushing the seat back and holding/pushing the plastic piece. It should go back in track until the next time you go too far back again 😂.

I don’t think there’s any functionality to it other than like you said, a trim piece.

Ha ya so I had my youngest son move the seat back and forth as I sprayed a little white lithium and tapped the piece back into place. That sucks. Might just pull it out or cut it sometime if it gets too bad.

Couple things I want to replace. The front cup holder cover is quite fragile. I cracked the top just getting in the truck geez. $150 for that cup holder. Not sure about the one in the rear yet. No salvage yards will just sell me the cover. Anyone pull the console apart yet?

When I got the truck I found all the switches on the console were really hard to press down. Turns out someone dumped alot of coffee into that area. I couldn't use the auto shift and had to spray a some WD into the area of shift to get it to work. I plan to pull the seats and console out this summer for an interior refresh.

So I'm driving around the first week in the 570 thinking the rearview mirror ( after reading a few posts here) died.
I have the garage door opener / mirror dimmer combo type and they sell for like $1000. new. I'm getting concerned now. Can't see anything behind me at all with this thing. I pulled on the wires and cleaned them, played with the wiper thing next to it on the window bla bla bla. Turns out being the window tint. This tint is really dark.
I kind of don't like it.
