The LX I bought from a Chevy dealer in NC arrived at my house two nights ago. It was dark when the guy pulling it with a Dodge Ram on a trailer showed up. I just backed it up into a snow covered dirt road by my place, pushed all the buttons to make sure everything worked, then pulled it into the garage for a closer look. Toyota makes some white color floor carpet. Wow. Have to say, It is really pretty clean, and the tan interior isn't bad either for 125k miles on it.
Had the chance to drive it today. The interior was kind of niosey it seems like there is an air leak in the front driver door. I feel a little pulsating when braking, and more so the front end feels stiff turning side to side, and when I hit a pot hole doing about 55 -60 mph the backend of the truck kind of darted side to side.
It was a little alarming. It comes with Yokohama Geolanders with some decent tread left. How are these tires in snow?
Not sure when the oil was changed so I'm going to make an appointment with the dealer in my area and ask them to check the shocks. At 125k miles would shocks be an issue? I was under the truck and didn't see anything wet. I'm happy to say the undercarriage was pretty dry and looked good. I hit the frame and skids with some under coating and sprayed the rubber bushings with 303 Protectant. I'm welcoming it to the northeast.
I ordered Husky winter carpets and they are on their way. Thinking of longer mud flaps for the front at least.
I need another key. How should I go about that?
Here's a pic of something sticking out of the pass. side seat track. What is it?
