Well I made a valiant effort to get my 40 out of storage. Do as much maintenance as I could. I left my house this afternoon headed to my first cruiser event (first time since I have owned my cruiser that I am not deployed and able to attend an event).

Sadly I broke down in Mississippi just south of Jackson about half way to SCC. I started to hear a loud noise (sounded like a bad exhaust leak). I barely made it to a gas station. Once at the gas station the motor sounded fine. The oil pressure gauge is reading normal, it's not overheating. I turned it off let it cool down. Started it again and now it sounded more like a knock. Hope the motor is not shot. Although if it is it might be time for one of those new 5.3 Chevy I have always wanted.

Either way, I wanted to spend my homecoming from my deployment talking about cruisers with a bunch of cruiserheads. Instead I guess I will be spending it in a holiday inn.

Have fun fellas and hopefully I get to go to SCC next year.

Thank you again for all the hard work y'all put into the Crawl each year. I know an event like CC does not just "happen" without a BUNCH of time and effort. Me and my family and friends truly enjoyed every minute.

Kitty & I had a great time at our first SCC. Great park, great people, great music, great food! Already reserved our tent spot for next year. Thanks again to the CLC gang for organizing a weekend full of fun!

I-40 traffic outside Memphis was much smoother today too. Headed towards Tupelo now.

I just made it home. I had a great time and can't wait to come back next year! I've already reserved my camping space. It was great to see old friends, friends from far away, and of course to make some new friends. What a great group of people, and a fantastic park too! Thanks to all!

I'm sitting on a plane at DFW. Thinking back. Big smile on my face. This is one of those trips I won't forget for many reasons. People. Cameradery. "Events". Food. You know. Georgle.
