Right.
So I don't really know where the "A&W in sooke" actually is...

Checked g-maps and the only one near sooke is the one in langford....

just some food for thought here guys….there is a reason that there is no talking about trail locations and names on some of the other boards (such as island 4x4 for example) because anybody could be viewing what you are writing and posting maps of where you are going and going to meet and since we are technically trespassing and going stealing tree's from the logging companies who planted the trees, it may not be a bad idea to keep discussions like this in the members only section where you know who can and can not be reading it, lest you find yourself with some extra company on your way out of the bush, since they do have a nice map to follow. not trying to be a dick, I may have found my own tree once or twice over the years as well, but the members only section might be a better place to talk about this kind of stuff. plus if there are bypasses or ways in…..i don't really want to tell the logging companies who are trying to keep me out that i know a way around their gate because then they can just go dig it out or gate it off

I dont have my map with me (yes I use paper maps lol) I might have my names a bit wonky.

I think that's the same area. Realistically there is no need to go up that far to find a tree, there are plenty starting right after turning off West coast rd. Not that we are really supposed to cut those down  They do fall onto cruiser roofs from time to time. Heck one member once found a tree in the middle of West Coast rd. Seems that tree fell onto a vehicles roof and then jumped off again a ways down the road. Wierd.

A pic from last year.... Morb's family and my family went up Shawigan way.

Baaaahhhh...Charlie Brown tree you got there sir...

Yes this is quite right. But I can't make your GPS tracks link open so doesn't matter... :flipoff2:

I'm guessing since both you guys are fairly new to the club you might need to get in touch with Steve (wussyPup) to give you access to the members only section...

Anyway pretty bushy looking trees! I guess if I had my butt in gear I could have made it out and still had time for a surf... oh well. We surfed until dark and had dinner at Breakers... I'll get a tree closer to Christmas.

I think the link is the way it's supposed to be now. ;)

I've been meaning to talk to Steve about the club initiation process. Thanks for the reminder. I'll bring it up at the next meeting.

Was cool seeing you at Jordan river. I saw the white landcruiser right away, and didnt' think it could be you; until I saw you, haha.

Found tons of blueberry bushes up where we were. If anyone's into picking, I can give you directions for next summer.

Trees? What trees? Just some pro editing of the photographs.

Nice work lads.

As you may have noticed I chose the "sleep in" over A&W coffee Sat. morning. LOL.

I hope this "initiation process" doesn't involve being slapped with a rusty rear fender!
