Ah yeah.

The Nalgene and Camelbak won’t seat all the way down bc of the smaller bottom, but they sit on the ridge of that bottom lip and will work fine. The Nalgene is very tight in there and the Camelbak is tight enough where it won’t fall over, which is great.

Moral: I have too many dang water bottles. My wife was more pumped than I was about this cup holder.

So I"m really considering these cup holders, but I'm curious how they do for non large water bottle drinks - how are the sodas from fast food and the coffee cups from the chains or small water bottles?

The holes are two tiered. The large top section accepts the large bottles like a Nalgene, Hydroflask, and 36oz. Yeti. The lower smaller holes accept the typical fast food cup, soda can, grocery store water bottle type containers.

Sweet thank you! I wasn't sure if they two tier created a situation where it was hard to grab out of it.

The holes in total are 4" deep which is shorter than any cup out there. Even a kids tiny happy meal cup sticks up enough to easily grab.

Super cheap mod…cover up the peeling Toyota emblem. It was black, but I hit it with some leftover Duplicolor graphite wheel paint.

What made the Loncky wheel look like that at the 12 position? I've used their covers a few times in the past with great results for an hour of my time

I am not sure. I think it might be the fabric tape. I’ll likely take it off and do it again eventually, but not right now.

tempted to order the brown, but chances are their match won't match...Thanks for the tip on the shifter, I just ordered one for $15 I don't think I'd object to slightly smaller either

Tired of the seat belt alert ding so ordered this and it works perfectly. I didn’t want to use Techstream bc the seat belt light will still constantly flash.

Diode Dynamics SmartTap

Followed the first post (Install: Diode Dynamics SmartTap Flasher Relay 2015 Land Cruiser - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/install-diode-dynamics-smarttap-flasher-relay-2015-land-cruiser.1133894/) and this took 4 minutes. 2 of those were bc I thought I needed to take the lower black panels off then I realized I just need to take out only the actual panel with the buttons to the left of the steering wheel. Located the OEM flasher by feel with the blinker on, unplugged it and plugged the new one back in.

Thanks @yonah for the relay!! Works great.

My grill was sandblasted and sunworn so I took it all apart, used some degreaser 0000 steel wool, spray paint and clear. Turned out way better than it originally looked. I wasn’t aware the thin strips inside the main grill crossbars came out so very easy to paint those a different color.

Today and tomorrow….doing the 4 doors for now until I get enough gulp to figure out taking the rear panels out. Not sure if I am going to tackle the floors but probably will eventually.

Finished all 4 doors and the top and bottom of the rear tailgate with sound deadener material.

Took this idea from @DJCloz I know not everyone is a fan of those lights but it was a super easy mod following his steps and I like it. I tapped it to the positive side of the relay that turns on my interior fuse block. I’ll probably hook it up another way but that was easy. Just need to run wire look to hide the wires.

After swapping the wheels I had 3 TPMS go out. Discount Tire FTW.

Also, there is a thread around seat jackets here, but they are $100 per seat. I found some on Amazon for $35 that I thought MIGHT work. The difference is the length dimension. Happy to say that they work fine. I’ve only done the driver seat bc my wife wasn’t a fan of the added height, so not doing the passenger seat but I just put 2,000 miles in the last week with them and it definitely helped my back with extra support (I had back surgery 1.5 years ago). Bolts are the same, but it was a little tedious getting the front right bolt threaded bc of the bracket and angle once the riser is installed. Worked great though.
