If it's Austin-I'll have to buy ya'll all beer for the cash on travel I'd save. Pool Party at my house - that's like almost in my backyard. But there is no way we are going to be anywhere in Texas in August....

It will be a great destination for out of towners. Tons of trails and a great place for family to do more things in the area. Sorry locals but majority of people travel in and they will love the area.

Pretty cool history Andrew!

When the town was originally founded, it was spelled BreckINridge in honor of the Vice President at the time. (The people in town were angling to use this “honor” to get a local Post Office…and it worked.) Two years later that Vice President took sides with the Confederate Army when the Civil War broke out. The townspeople didn’t like this so they changed the spelling to BreckENridge.
