Thanks Georg.

I'll be coming in via Highway 4.

Anyone know how well the trailhead is marked from that side?
All my searches reveal that it's in/near Hermit Valley/Hermit Valley campground.

the hermit valley campground is pretty small, just past lake alpine when you start heading downhill on the left hand side after a right turn. you can't miss the trailhead.....

Just talked to Tony looks like he wont be making it. ( Bummer ) Got hurt at work but hes doing fine. We had a change of plans and will be leaving on Friday around 3am driving to Pollock Pines and staying at me sister in laws until Saturday morning then driving over to Deer Valley. We dont get up that way very often and some other Family will be showing up for a visit. But we WILL be there. !!!!

righton, glad to hear you guys are doing ok and still able to make it. fire danger over? hope so......

well, short update:

raffle prizes are still trickling in, thanks for all the support from our fellow mudders and vendors. as expected, the response to my raffle prize inquiries has been a little sedated compared to years past but overall i've still managed to get a good pile of loot together.

thanks again all!!!!!

other than that, i'm right in the middle of a spring over on a customer/buddies rig. tonight we got the empty housing hung back under the truck. tomorrow i need to build the axles with ARBs front and rear, complete the sag ps install, get the shock mounts welded on, make sure the driveline shop does'nt hose us, make sure the shocks get here, install all new brake lines, ..........and then the rig has to be ready to make it to the 45 run for the first time this weekend. :wrench:

so i've been a little busy and it ain't gonna get any easier till saturday when i park my ass in a camping chair and pop a cold one........

also, i will not be driving the troopie this year. i can't. but the fox will be taking it up there for me. one of my customers just had me do a bunch of work on a rig in order to get it ready for the event. turns out he can't make it either so he asked me to take the cruiser up there for him. i could'nt say "no", you'll see why when i get there with it. :grinpimp:

3 more days till i can relax.......

I think I am ready

Oh wait didn't I have less parts off the truck the last time I posted???? A quick run to the hardware store for more duck tape and bailing wire and I will be set. Do you get fined in CA if parts fall off your vehicle while driving????

It's not a real campground, its more of a really cool spot to pull off the trail and camp with some like minded folks.
And more to your point, yes dogs are Ok, but I think Georg asked that they be leashed in camp.

someone correct me If I am wrong.

Are dog's allowed at the campground?

I will have an inverter you can use--just promise not to give me a haircut with the plane .

I will also bring a "cup" then---first time fliers also come in low.

exactly!

That was the most "solid" LV I have seen in a long time!!! Had to have a lot of people to ride in it to keep someone from falling through the floor.

Thanks but GEORG is really The Man for putting on a Great Event. I promised a seperate build thread of the 66 LV we took to the 45 Run this year after we get some time. I could not have made it there without the help of those who were in the know ( wanted it to be a surprise ) real quick Thank You Orange45, landcrusiserjunkey, calstyl2, rockcod, Danimal, livinginthepast, my friend kevin in Dago, , getting the LV running was alot of work but this picture says it all, a BIG Thanks to my son William for all his help :wrench: and he also drove the 45lwb himself this year and did a good job doing it. Good Times and Great Friends See ya in November at SnT ( Might even have some new plywood floors in the back :grinpimp: )
