Tina and I had a great time again this year. Took an extra day in Tahoe on Monday, when the rest of the world was trying to leave!

1. It was worth going just to see Georg in the most mellow mood I've ever seen him in. Life is treating him well.:)

2. The Foxes were a pleasure to camp with....overall! Tucker was his usual little dirt devil, Fox felt the need to share with everyone within cellphone distance what time he gets up in the morning:doh: but, as usual, Brenda's upside down cakes kept the hordes contented.

3. The FJC group by the creek[always forget their names!] kept me salubrious all three nights, and I did my best to return the favor with an expanded repetoire of raucous old-school rock 'n roll tunes.

4. 909 and Will surprised a lot of us by showing up as a two-fer! Rob's new mutt is just as homely as the rest of his litter, and guaranteed, like all the rest, to get the job done. Way to go Rob!

5. TRT2 showed up in the 'what if' version of my 45, as in what if I took the time to give it a real paint job, SOA and a v-8. That is one clean ride Tony!

6. Good meeting Danny and Penny in the 4Runner. Look forward to seeing the pics from your group, as well as the link to caddywampus website!

7. surfpig, what else can I say: that's what you get for going home early!;p

8. Pighead, do tell: How did the magic mushroom turn out?

9. Bikerso, good to meet you, and thanks for sharing your toys. Don't forget to send me the link!

10 Joe and Paula, never did hear how those brake issues were resolved? Eddy?

11. Fast Eddy, my wife now has a different view of carpal tunnel syndrome! Mind filling the rest of us in?:censor:

glad you guys made it. tina looked like she made some new friends and seemed to enjoy herself. i've only seen her at a couple of events so it was good to have her there! :)

mellow, tired and relieved that the event had finally come after putting in over 60 hours that week making sure that danny's mustard 40 would make it to the event. i promised him it would and i hate not being able to stick to my promises.

no doubt, camping with the foxes is always a good time. thanks again brenda and ryan for hosting the kids' raffle!!!!!

next year, could we get some more up-to-date songs?! that 70's hippie crap is getting a little out of hand! :flipoff2:

somebody's gotta bring on the "reality check" with all those other prestine 45s. lots of fully restored and rebuilt 45s there this year, so having robs', wills and johns' 45s there was a good thing. props to rob and will again!!!!

5. TRT2 showed up in the 'what if' version of my 45, as in what if I took the time to give it a real paint job, SOA and a v-8. That is one clean ride Tony!

about time Mr.Twiddy finally brought the pickup.......:bounce:

12. Jerod, you need to spend a lot more time watching Vanna White!;p

13. KT, whatcha gonna put those hinges on? ;p Dust off that 45 already!

14. Ron and Tony: thanks for validating my guys vs. girls at the reststop theory!
Ladies, we have the keys!

And Georg, as far as the songs go, part of the reason I stick to that set list is knowing it gives you flashbacks to when you were teething!:flipoff2:

For being the first 45 Run that I have been able to make---it felt like hanging out with family for the weekend. It's amazing to be able to converse with someone over the Internet using a screen name and then when you are able to meet them in person they treat you like an old friend. I also like how diverse and unique the group is that showed up---and everyone got along. Its nice to see how the common interest in old rusty strange trucks can bring a group together. Of course Georg made the comment about the pristine cruisers and look what he comes rolling in with:

back when i was a little knee-high tike, my mom listened to the beegees, rod stewart and abba. none of that hippie crap you play. don't get any ideas. if you play any of that disco s*** i'll pay you for your guitar in cash. right after smashing it! :flipoff2:

is that better?! i've finally had a chance to catch up on some sleep.;p

you know i like a guitar around the campfire just as much as the next guy. heck, i've even been known to sing along for a song or three.

Pighead showed up?

I "had" to leave, I told the family I'd be home Sunday. I took a longcut though, by way of the Strawberry Pass trail.

:bounce:

I'll be installing my new rear driveshaft tomorrow!

Hey! I'm not going for style here.... This is a speed raffle, and I think Georg do a good job for the 5-10 minutes of planning we do.... :D

Yeah, that last-minute huddle before the ticket was pulled for the blanket was 'classic' cover for your rendezvous! Vanna does that one backstage!:censor:

I hope someone got a picture of that!;p

I was busy sipping on a bottle of Patron.
