Oh. I found making mockups very useful. These devices are pretty big. Get a big box and cut it up to the LxWxH and just look at it in the truck. Of course you already have a cooler so you can eyeball on that too.

I will keep an eye on it, was there any warning signs other than your compressor not working? If needed I can drain it and refill from empty. I haven’t noticed any leaks or anything, but I did wonder how I fit 30oz in there. The AC was blowing warm in all but drivers vent so maybe it was almost empty. It went from warm to ice cold after the fill though, and she’s blowing like a new car.
No, was driving to work and the compressor seized. Made it to work (about 4 blocks) but had to cut the belt as I couldn't even restart the car.
it's an embedding automation on mud that isn't working correctly. It will look right at posting time, but then on refresh it borks it. sorry for the broken link. the Whynter 62 quart dual is Amazon product ASIN B008VX01P2
Product ID is B008VX01P2. Probably too much at $685. In that range you could get a more recognized brand name. I looked at the 'slim' model in that range, it was still too wide to fit behind the seat; just liked the metal construction and dual chambers. You have to live out of it, so those little niceties make a big difference if you are in there 15 or 20 times a day.
excellent! look for items 19.5 tall or so and 16.5 wide.Car is getting alignment so I used old photo for comparison. Assuming I have the right cooler, It is 17.5L by 17W by 21H. Cooler is about 1.5 inches higher than bed currently, and about .5 inches too wide. Length does matter as much.

Check out Costco as well. Very good return policy.
Massimo CX50 I believe it is an Alpicool rebrand.
yeah, i wish that one fit behind my seat too, but I only had 12.9 depth.Dimensions wise, this one is a better fit. Perfect width of 17.5 and half an inch shorter than the cooler. So it is slightly higher than bed but not as high as cooler, and I plan on raising the bed anyways when it’s time for drawers (2nd row sits slightly higher than third when folded).

watch out though - not dual zone.
THere is a plastic 50 Qt dual I saw somewhere. I didn't pay too much attention as I knew it was the wrong shape for my spaceyeah see this is why you’re here, I’ve missed the dual zone two times now! T50 looking strong at the moment.

I would be leery of a cheap fridge. If you go that route, the most important factor is the compressor. Do some research. I think ExPo had a good article on fridges last year. Most of the major vendors use exactly the same compressor, and the most significant factor in reliability is the ability of the compressor to withstand excessive vibration. There is probably a reason the major vendors use the same compressor.
That’s not to say a cheap fridge won’t last 20 years. It’s just that they have a different business model based on volume, not reliability.
Having said all that, a more practical consideration is whether it opens from the side or from the ends. That is one of those things that can affect placement and usability.
