I'm in Guyana, South America this week, on a parts run :)

I currently have seven! trucks for sale in Alberta Canada. All of them are running, with mining axles.
That is great!! Ill save your info so i know who's door to knock on to find one in the future!! also, are they all 12V vehicles or still 24V? Other than Body style change, its a little hazy on what changed when. Even interior I see old and new with the new exterior.

Mining axles??

Yes off road axles, not Toyota axles..look up Hurth axles
hurth.webp

have to find ones with Toyota axles or swap in 80 series axles. Some companies use Toyota axles..mine has Toyota axles in it
Crazy! My 79 has Toyota axles. Our local mine uses them

The modified Miller-Toyota HZJ79 HURTH uses upgraded Hurth-Spicer forklift-type heavy axles, several times larger and stronger than what Toyota produces for their trucks. In extreme underground and mining use/abuse, the stock Toyota axles don't last very long.

Dumb question here, but can these be driven in the States or only for offroading/farm purposes?

They can only be brought into the US with engines removed, and no hope of roading them as-is.

Could pull them behind your horse or tractor on your US farm sans-engine.

So, the article does seem to explain how Proffits did their conversion. I didn't fact-check that independent older article.

However one chooses to use or not use my units is up to them.
