My 2006 LC has a stated fuel tank capacity of 25.4 gallons but I am never able to get more than 21-22 gallons in the tank when I fill up. It seems like the low fuel light comes on when there is about 4 gallons of fuel left. Do you guys get similar results?
My mpg has improved recently since I replaced the A/F sensors and sometimes I get near 17 mpg on the interstate. I have tried, in the past, to run the tank down after the light comes on to see how far I can actually go (with spare gas on board just in case). I am aware that this is not good on the fuel pump which needs to be surrounded by fuel to keep the pump cool. However, I am just trying to gauge how far I might be able to go after the low fuel light comes on.
