For Sale, 2002 Lexus LX 470 Black exterior, tan interior
280,000ish miles (still being driven occasionally), 3 owners, no accidents
V8 engine, leather interior, hydraulic lift, differential lockers, power seats and windows, digital air/ audio controls, seat heaters
The interior is in fair condition with some scratches and marks in the plastic. The wood veneer is cracked next to the shifter. The front drivers seat needs recovered as the stitching is torn. The 2nd row seats are slightly worn and have some staining. The car has been detailed but dirt is caked into the carpet on the driver's wheel well and in the corners of the trunk area. Otherwise carpets and vinyl are clean still has original mats everywhere except the drivers.
The exterior has some small scratches and the clear coat is peeling on the front hood. The rear hatch is rusted in multiple spots, but has not spread to the rest of the vehicle. There is a small break in the fiberglass on the front from a rock. The front driver's headlights are loose from age and the brackets deteriorating. An the hood latch on the front hood and rear tail gate need replaced, but still open with the use of tools.
In the last four years the vehicle has gotten a new windshield (2019), timing belt, water pump, radiator (all 2021), and the hydraulic shocks replaced(2018) (weird thing that was stock only on 2002 LX470). The battery is also new. The transmission and suspension are both in great shape.
Now for the reason we have to part with the car. We are newly married and can't afford to invest in fixing the vehicle back to its glory and have an 80 series Land Cruiser in better shape for our off-road adventures. The engine cylinders 4 and 6 are under powered(61 psi) which makes the car putter when idling but it will still drive fine. There is also a loose fuse box connection and it keeps losing power to the EFI fuse and then won't turn over. Our mechanic says it needs a new engine (it is possible an engine rebuild would also fix the underpower issue) and the fuse box is not fixable (another 2002 Lexus quirk) and needs fully replaced to fix the connection issue. Vehicle runs fine but due to the fuse box issue, may go out without notice would be best to trailer if transporting it long distance.
Great large SUV for an off-road or overland custom rebuild project.
Asking price is $5000 or best offer-willing to negotiate. We desperately need this vehicle gone to make room for a new family vehicle.
More pictures on request.
