Damn I wish it had been out of gas! lol

Me too. It wouldnt be her first time bit it would be mine. She ran her Bmw 300 series out of gas numerous times in college in the 80's and this LC out of gas twice b4.

that's probably your problem. Running the tank dry is NOT good for that pump.

I know for certain that JTTTMFT has never run his Tundra out of gas...so pump issue there must be entirely different.

Man, I'm so sorry this happened, but I have to admit the truck on the wrecker with the Christmas Tree on top was Clark Griswold-level brilliant.

P.S. You are not missing big bend. Worse case, I'll pick you up on the way and you can ride shotgun with me.

P.S.S. My wife does that stuff too (she's the only person I know that can get a suburban into a "Sonic" drive in bay, but not get it out with rubicon level pin striping).

If mine runs hers out of gas she knows better than to call me! I WILL NOT come get her for that B/S!

Damn, Mardis, you really do have bad luck.

Keep us posted.

Amanda's 2008 has been flawless. She is only around 60K miles.

Probably just jinxed her...

I am really wondering if its the ethanol in the gas. Every problem on this truck has been part of the fuel system.

Original blinking lights were from speed sensor harness.

They could not get any power from the fuel pump. There are 6 fuel pumps for the LC in the US. It will take 5 days to get it. Part is 800.

10 bucks it's out of gas and they are selling a fuel pump.

Yeah I wonder if the fuel pump will even come on if it doesn't sense fuel? They damn sure won't tell you if they put a pump in and find that to be the case after the fact! You'll buy a pump.

I am no moron and I am a cheap bastard that trusts just a few people, Rob being one of them. I took two gallons of gas and put in it at the dealer and tried to start it. No luck.

In the 200 series the fuel pump can be purchased one of two ways, one is just the pump the other is pump and all the other doo dads that make fuel sensing work. For 500 bucks you get just the pump, for 750 you get the pump and "shroud" that has all the other stuff already connected. I chose that latter option given the kind of luck i have been having. Plus the labor to trouble shoot and isolate is probably cheaper than the parts added expense.

Some 200 tech!
