Awesome info man thx. This is still a little ways out but I'm gonna start getting familiar w the 200 in the meantime. Messing w KDSS makes me a tad nervous tho.

Do yourself a favor, and start hitting your KDSS valves with PB Blaster of Kroil, like right now. They are almost always stuck.

It's behind the frame rail on the drivers side (IIRC). There is a metal cover that covers the valves.

And here's a little write-up I did a few months back: Cruiser Lean: "You've been doing it all wrong. Yes you"

Also, @ntsaint , I believe the part # for the spacers is 43136-60020

And don't forget about my little except from my build thread:

"The first thing you have to do whenever you do 200 series suspension work it open the KDSS valves with a 5mm allen key. To access to actuator, you really need to remove the cover panel along the right inside frame. Once I got the cover off, I tried to turn the screw. Nope. Nothing. Lightly tapped each screw and tried again. Nothing. Keep in mind if I strip one of these screws I can either forget about putting a lift on indefinitely, or I can pay to have the valve replaced, along with paying a specialized Toyota mechanic to re-pressurize the system. There are only a handful of mechanics in the country that can, and Toyota would have to send one. Think big $$$ here. That was not an option, so I tried a butane torch for a while. Nope, nothing. PB blaster comes next. Nope. More PB blaster. Nope. More PB blaster overnight. Nope. More PB blaster. Guess what? Nope again. By this time, I am extremely discouraged. Now, I heat it with the torch again, bang on the screws with a hammer, and say F*** It! I grab my 5mm and a socket extension (to use as a breaker bar) and really really put some force on it. Bingo. Tried the other screw/valve. Bingo!!! So, just keep the KDSS in mind when you are thinking of doing a 200 series lift."

They are a little loud. BFG KO2 look to be the best AT on the market right now.

Toyo has 3 different tread you can choose from. I am a Toyo fan over BFG. I would not agree with JB on the loudness. Loudness of a tire will depend more on user/car/tire care habits as much or more than tread.

You seem to want to go Cooper but they don't hold up in AR rocks. Buy them and we will see you post again in a year.

You just missed a killer sale my Discounttiredirect.com. So plan you T day in Jaktown and go to 49 tire and get your BFGs.

Only reason I leaned toward Cooper's is a couple of non cruiser guys have them on 4wd truck and love em and they don't look too aggressive. Plus I can get 5 for 1000 bucks!

How do you find the treads to choose from for a TOYO, @Bomar?

You get what you pay for and there is a reason you bought a land cruiser put cooper's on your Prius. Tread design all the same it is voids and depth in tread.

Open Country A/T II | Toyo Tires

Sorry deeper tread and more aggressive sidewall. I have the 295.70.18 AT2 in Xtreme.

I have seen more full tread separations on Coopers than any other tire. Fenders ripped off. At my old job I was at hundreds of tire shops a monthly basis. I have many many reasons for the reason I choose the tires I run and why I only run to 50% tread depth.

As much as I see that 200 on Carpenter Dam Road you really need to go Michelin Defender AT MS. Plus why buy five? Buy 4 better tires and not need the 5th?

I have heard that the K02s on a 200 are noisy.

I LOVED my Duratracs. Very quiet for an AT tire. Also comes in the 295/65/R18 variety which looks great on a stock height 200.

A 60 series guy in our camp shredded mickey t tires at Crawl this year on the first day. Ran out and picked up a set of coopers in town and loved the rest of the weekend. They look like nice tires and handled well on the trail but if Bomar says they suck he knows the tire biz and has good insight.
