Besides the color these trees bloom at odd times compared to most trees providing a welcome break in the green monotony.

Yes Jacaranda. They do drop a ton of blossoms - like they are right now. But I don't mind it at all cause in San Diego, seasons don't really exist.

Did she come with a case of ichy right pedal syndrome like mine did?

Sounds like you know the type. A bit haughty and unpredictable, but incredibly exciting.

It's the other high maintenance girlfriend who's always asking for presents. 996 turbo with a couple big snails.

Exciting is an understatement whether it's the twisties, brute acceleration or upkeep. Let's face it, tires every 2.5k at about 2.5k is well, exciting.

^^ OUCH...

Uh ohhhh..... :hillbilly:

Drove to Slee non-stop (OK, stopped for gas, and a 45 minute nap at about 3:00AM)...

Looking forward to seeing those those fit.
I've had a wild hair about 35s lately...

Or how they might not fit... ;)
We'll see.

The width is the issue...and nearly the only difference compared to the 285/75/17. I may end up switching... Got 3 days to figure it out.

Are you going to try the KDSS relocation or wheel spacers or anything?
You've got me pricing 35s now haha

Yes @TonyP, KDSS relocation going on.

I'm not dead set on 35's, but I'm going to see for myself.
If they don't work...I'll switch lower--having scratched the itch.

Aired up and mounted? I was surprised to see they measured exactly 34" which means the 285/75s are almost identical height...just a touch below (saw one mounted today at Slee on their brand new shop Tacoma. They might actually make more sense.

Hanging out in Buena Vista, CO this week. Took a nice drive on Bald Mountain Gulch trail (part of the Four Mile offroad area south of 285). Very good trail with some awesome views of the Collegiate Peaks. Only had a serious challenge at one spot where water had worn down some of the trail. I had to spot my wife down that section. She was at a 25 degree lean angle and in a couple places I had one left tire and one right tire brushing up against rock and the left slider was an inch above another rock. But she did good. Low range. S1. Took it nice and slow. No damage. Just a few more pinstripes to buff out. Like an idiot, though, I was so caught up with spotting for her I didn't take any pics. Dang!

Here is a pic from near the top of the trail. You can see the views. And the articulation of the rear axle!

My god I need this in my life.
I know right? I've been keeping myself awake imagining what the acceleration would be like with all that weight missing off the back of it!!! If it had selectable 2WD, I think we could safely say goodbye to those rear tyres pretty frequently too.....
