Me too. Felt worse than it looks. Isn't that always the case.

I stand corrected. Ha. It was bad

I had to talk Linda down. She was about to bail. Steen said no don't shift your weight - lol. Loving words

Lucky guys

OK. New member. Second time LC owner but our previous one was a 100-series about 15 years ago. The new one is a 2016. (Had a 100-series about 15 years ago and loved it.) Came over from 2 years and 55K miles with an LR4 that I loved. So many great memories. But I could never get comfortable with its towing capabilities and rather then downsize our trailer we decided to upsize our tow vehicle. First real towing experience with the new LC this past week and it felt great. Absolutely the right move.

We don't plan to do much, if anything, in the way of mods. Maybe sliders. Definitely tires. Already removed the 3rd row. But our off roading will be more tame than what I did with the LR4. Not because the LC is less capable (though I miss the turn radius and angles of the LR4) but because we're moving in a different direction a bit. Plenty of forest service roads in our future but none of the hours of rock crawling.

White with black interior may be boring. But seems easier to see from the outside. And I'll learn to live with the black.

Now for a name. I called my LR4 "Lara" as in Lara Croft (British, sophisticated, very capable and ready for adventure). Looking at my white LC the first thing that came to mind was "Moby" as in "Moby Dick". I guess I should come up with something better than a white whale. ;)

Pics below. My son was impressed with the moon roof large enough to climb out in an emergency. I was impressed with the wheel articulation on this little mogul run. And white does look good with the new trailer.

If there was a point in the trip that I thought "damn, I just killed any chance of her coming back", that was it... But I was serious about the "don't shift your weight" thing. Felt worse than it looks of course. Thanks for keeping her in the game!

Will say, after that, she handled Blackbear like a champ!

Gorgeous rig! Welcome.

Moby actually seems like the perfect name. The 200 is a whale. Huge, intelligent, strong and like nothing else in the water.
