Run up to Hungry Valley in Gorman, California.

I could also do that in my imaginary '79 Cutlass supreme with 24's. :steer:

Picked up the truck today from the shop and immediately drove 300 miles to Atlanta. 305/65 BFG KO2 Method 18x9 BP-51. Rides a little stiff (sporty stiff not rough stiff) but going to adjust tire pressure and damping/rebound before the drive home. I'll miss my 80 but love the new rig!

33.5". Much cutting required? Love the rugged elegance of those Methods. (How's that for a bit of antithesis?)

Mud flaps removed and a little cutting but nothing crazy. Tried adding 1.25" spacers but they caused tired to hit the bumper.

A couple more aesthetic modifications coming up to tie the room together!

Do you know what the offset is on those wheels? +20? +25?

Curious. Truck looks GREAT and nicely balanced with that wheel/tire combo. I had 305's on my 100 and like yours...

25 and pretty flush but I'd prefer a lower offset. That's just me!

Ya, I think +18 is a sweet spot... Your truck looks good...but like another person mentioned... -Day shot, please. ;)

your rig looks awesome man! I think 25 is the sweet spot for offset on a 9 inch wheel, 20 works also, depending on tire selection etc... I think 18 might be a bit too much with a 305 tire... IMO

I think I figured that my setup is about equivalent to +18 including my spacers...but I'm on 17 inch wheels, and a different tire. Agree I would rub with the wider 305. I dunno... On the other hand...I'm all drugged up in the hospital, so everything "fits" right now! lol

Markuson, hope you're getting better man! Some quick math for peops on wheels so no one loses a fender:) Your setup with 8 inch rock warriors with 50mm offset and 1.25 inch wheel spacers would be the equivalent of about a 30mm offset with a 9 inch wheel. The 25mm offset in a 9 inch wheel with 305's IMO is maxing out the 200 but should be fine in theory. If you put those 305's on a 9 inch wheel with 18mm offset and wheel it hard IMO you wheel lose a fender:) just my 2 cents...

Heya @kreiten. I didn't mean to imply the 305 would fit. It would be all over my fender for sure.

But hmmm... What additional offset equivalent would be provided by 1.25" spacers then?

1.25 inches is 31.75mm. So... I'm thinking with Rock Warriors being 50mm...plus 31.75mm move outward with spacers...wouldn't that give me 18.25mm offset total? (50-31.75=18.25mm)?

Keep in mind that the math all changes with a 9 inch wheel. So your setup is an 8 inch wheel with 50mm offset, so take 8 inches=203.2mm, now cut that in half to find the center of the wheel. This gives you 101.6 on each side of the center, now do the math for the offset(50mm) and you get 51.6mm totally stick out. Now add in your wheel spacers of 31.75mm and you get 83.35. When you have a 9 inch wheel you have to do the same math but you start with 228.6 total wheel width, and then 114.3mm per side, so for instance the 25mm offset would give you a total stick out of 89.3mm. So then you can subtract your total setup from the 89.3 and you get 5.95. Now add that 5.95mm to 25mm and you get a ballpark of about 30 or 31mm offset equivalent when comparing to a 9 inch wheel.... does that make sense? Hope your doing better man!

:) I shall re-read your post when my drugs wear off a bit... ;) Thanks for the math and thought. I'm doing so-so. There's a threat of permanent nerve damage which would be devastating due to loss of 2 major leg muscles. Just hoping that is not the case. Thanks again.
