1Hz exhaust question

1992 HZJ73, exhaust is rotten. While Im waiting on the new one from mainland, I though about, just for grins, sawing the exhaust off at the mid pipe/tail section joint. Would this just be insanely loud or does the 1HZ sound decent with no muffler?

It sounds terrible without a muffler. My exhaust shop just gets out a book on landcruiser exhaust types and bends one on the spot if he doesn't have one hanging up on the wall.

you put a turbo on it .. and forget about mufflers ...

without turbo and muffler-not nice. turbo without muffler nice, at least on my 2H-T

It's also not a good idea to have an exhaust terminate under your car. Ask me why I know.

There annoyingly loud without the muffler! When mine needed replacing I ordered a set of extractors (headers for us in the US) from www.performanceexhaust.com.au, the price shipped was under 450us and that included a new set of studs, nuts and gaskets and they arrived in 7 business days.
