Got the custom tank installed. 12 mm and 8mm return.

Immediately I get improvement starting the truck. Drove it yesterday and it feels livelier.

Swapped out all diesel lines, tank and replaced water separator in and out with proper width.

So start to finish changed in and return. I got a transparent tube but will go to shop and readjust diesel pump check injectors then take it from there.

So after tank, I revisited the diesel pump mechanic and here arw my thoughts:

* Idle ghosting gone
* Idle starvation after aggressive driving gone
* Much better response at low RPM
Reduced white exhaust (still present)
* Better acceleration

Next steps:

* check remaining injectors (inkector heads new)
* valve adjustment
* compression test
Final verdict much better overall performance

Tested my new setup offeoading.

The Nomad handles much better, but I must adjust the pre boost fueling car struggles prior to turbo boost (dies a lot unless I have a press fuel pedal aggressively leading to excessive spinning or engine dies.

Seems I will need turbo boost diesel adjustment.

AI Gemini:
What you’re describing is a classic "Fueling Gap" in a heavy mechanical diesel. Since you have a 1HD-T in a 2.6-ton FJ62 with a manual gearbox, the "bogging" vs "spinning" issue usually means your injection pump isn't correctly compensating for the transition between no-boost (taking off) and full-boost (turbo hitting).
