I figured since this document might get lost in another thread that I would make it's own thread.

I created this today for another thread.

Figured it might be of use to people contemplating a full long block rebuild of a 1FZ-FE North American market petrol engine.

If there are any questions, feel free to post up or contact me.

Regards.

That is a good list to have on my computer.

Thanks Much there Onur.

 Thanks Beno!

Much appreciated Onur!

Looking forward to the list, thanks a lot.

Holy parts list Batman...

Nice work Onur.. great reference material even for those not rebuilding.....yet

This list is great and is going to help me a lot on my rebuild. I will be sending you an email today or tomorrow to get a quote on a lot For some reason you can not see the attachment on the mobile ih8mud site but it shows up on the computer.

Thanks again this is going to be a huge help to anyone considering a rebuild.

I would also like to add LandTank's oil-pump bushing/bearing and new oil pump idler gear to match....

Dealer irreplaceable part in the block that wears, if LandTank still offers it..

Cool! Yeah need that oil-pump bushing added to the list. Sounds like getting this part can be complected/difficult than installing it.

It's not an OEM serviceable part. You have to buy the block to get that bushing.

I was hoping that the block would come with the bushing; for some reason I thought it would not. I have been meaning to ask you that since you've got a new short block not too long ago (if I am not mistaken). I remember CDan mentioning (long time ago) that it is not a serviceable part. Maybe that's why I thought even the short block doesn't come with it  but it's good to know that it does.

Nevertheless, IMHO rebuilding (not getting new short block) ain't complete unless you replace this bushing.

Thanks!

Part number Q

This list is ... going to be a huge help to anyone considering a rebuild.

Onur, I must agree and say thank you!!

I was comparing the list of stuff I've already purchased from you & Dan to this list - a few item #s didn't match up. Could you confirm which are correct for future reference:

  • 25820-13010 <or> 25820-13020 for the BIMETAL VALVE
  • 82221-60020 <or> 82221-60010 for the OIL PRESSURE SWITCH WIRE
  • 83520-60040 <or> 83520-60011 for the OIL PRESSURE SENDER GAGE ASSY

Quick question on the parts list. Why is the ring kit listed as 1 mm over?

I'd assume because the list is assuming a 1mm over bore to a 4.6 liter as standard for the rebuild. I had a question about that though. will I need new pistons as well as the rings or is it a small enough difference that the rings will be enough.

I see that now...doh. Does anyone know the part number for the std ring set?

Yes, you will need new pistons to go with the new rings (pistons part number is in my doc).

Best spot I could find to pose, but doubt an easily answerable question.

Noted discrepancies between:
Start to 10/97 US
11/97 to 12/97 US
1/98 to 7/2007 Non-US

Of interest to me are the differences between the early US and late non-US:

Block
Head
Piston
Cams
Valves

The block is irrelevant....I think, since crankshaft, rods, and pistons are the same.

What's the difference between the other, early US and late non-US components?
