New interior is in. Just picked up the truck last week. Pretty happy with it... Lots of new parts to install, including new dash... Pictures to come...

Inquiring minds want to know. When are we going to hear about the V8.

Still lots of work to do. Was waiting for truck to come back from interior to put gears/lockers in. Zuk will be putting them in as soon as I can pull the 3rd members out... perhaps this week. V8 is meaty, and truck feels lighter on its feet. Not much seat time in the rig due to it being at the interior shop for so long. Goal is to bring it out for the CSC meeting in Oct.

I do have one more pict to share...

Started draining the diff's so I could pull the 3rd members.

I am no expert (and have not looked it up yet) but I am willing to go out on a limb and say something isn't right...

Rear diff had 3x as much oil in it. Viscosity was thin, and color was light (like motor oil)

Front diff had far less in it. ~35 oz and it was thick, thick, thick and dark grey. I am assuming the seals leaked grease into the axle and the PO never changed the diff oil (or even checked its level)

I planned to rebuild the front diff's regardless so new axle seals will go in anyway... Let the de-yellowing begin!

erior picts... Lighting isn't very good. I will take more once I replace the dash and roll it outside into the sun.

It looks great, I think your plans are nothing short of perfection. Thanks for letting a few of us visit the Bat Cave to get a closer look.

Posting progress is always appreciated.

Looking good M, its transforming!

Seats came out great

Went to the waterjet cutters today and dropped of my material. As it turns out there is space for 2 shrouds on the blank. RockJock82 may be my first customer!

Let the de-yellowing commence! Dropping off this pile tomorrow

for a hot tank dip to get the yellow out!

Few shots of my bald knuckles and rear full floaters. Hubs seemed to have a little play in them so I am thinking about diving in and replacing the bearings while I am in there. Thoughts?

Take a look at the rough machining on the underside of the bearing race. I have never seen something like this before. Makes me wonder if this came from the factory this way or if someone f'd with it...
