This very Rare type of Landcruiser is now available to buy for $45,000 and the price is negotiable.
This 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser is a left-hand drive example that is said to have been sold new in Italy, where it remained until being imported to the US and acquired by the seller in 2017. Subsequent refurbishment work included a rebuild of its 2.4-liter 2-LT turbodiesel four-cylinder and five-speed manual gearbox, as well as bodywork and a repaint in gray, interior reupholstery, installing a heavy-duty clutch plate, and more. Modifications include an Old Man Emu suspension lift, a Safari snorkel, fender flares, a touchscreen stereo, and black powder-coated wheels with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires. Fluid and filter changes were performed in preparation for the sale. This LJ70 is offered with refurbishment records and photos as well as a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in its believed original metallic gray following rust repairs in 2019, and in-progress photographs of the work are provided in the gallery below. Features include black fender flares, 60/40 cargo doors, running boards, powder-coated front and rear bumpers, and a Safari snorkel.

Steel wheels have been powder-coated black and are mounted with 31″×10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM3 tires. The ride height has been raised using Old Man Emu coil springs and shocks, and a steering damper has also been fitted. Steering knuckle bearing kits and updated front disc brakes have been added. An alignment and wheel balancing were carried out in 2019.The interior has been reupholstered in stock-style gray vinyl and striped cloth with Turbo embroidery over new seat foam. The headliner, sunroof cover, carpets, insulation, weatherstripping, and seat frames have been replaced or refurbished, and rear shoulder belts were retrofitted. Additional amenities consist of a Cobra CB radio paired with a Firestik antenna as well as a Boss Audio Systems touchscreen stereo with Bluetooth and a backup camera display. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 149k kilometers (~92k miles), approximately 4k of which have been added by the seller. A VDO exhaust gas temperature gauge, boost gauge, front and rear differential locker dial, and winch control switch have replaced the factory instruments in the pod affixed to the top of the dashboard. New air conditioning system parts have been added under current ownership and the stock inclinometer will accompany the sale. The 2.4-liter 2-LT turbodiesel four-cylinder is shown running in the video above. The engine was rebuilt in 2017 using a polished crankshaft as well as a new cylinder head, pistons, and rings. A rebuilt injection pump was installed along with a replacement timing belt, water pump, two-row aluminum radiator, K&N air filter, and more. The steering box was rebuilt and the CT120 turbocharger was overhauled using components supplied by Turbocharger Systems. An engine rebuild video is provided by the seller.
A five-speed manual gearbox routes power to the rear or all four wheels through a two-speed transfer case. Service since 2017 included replacement of the oil pan gasket as well as the clutch and its hydraulic cylinders. An aftermarket exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers has been fitted, and the fuel tank is said to have been cleaned. Footage of the engine running as well as the truck driving on and offroad can be seen below.

Everyone seem to think that there Land Cruisers are gold plated. $45K Really

Looks to be in nice condition, but these aren't rare, and the $5000 saved by not having to import it doesn't really justify the price premium over what it would cost to pick one up in Europe.

Greetings, it is truly a great buy and the price is also negotiable. The interior is the original interior for the car, it had some work done at an auto shop, and a spark heater for the winter was added. Before we bought it, it was overhauled and completely restored.

By the way tonyp, they sell for around 20 pounds in the UK Used Toyota Land Cruiser ad : Year 1988, 169258 km | Reezocar - https://www.reezocar.com/en/occasion/annonce-toyota-land+cruiser-RZCMOBDE342696422.html and there is only one that is like mine for sale, but engine bay is rusty. my land cruiser also only has around 150,000 km which translates to 93,000mi.

Good thing there are 43 other countries in Europe to choose from.

There are a well over 150 70s for sale on Autoscout24 and another couple hundred on Facebook Marketplace. By just clicking around, looks like the average is $12k (asking) for a fresh LJ70.

No during Covid there was a lot of free money going around and people were paying way to much for everything.

So if it was sold for 21k why is it worth more then twice as much now 🤷‍♂️

Re-posting the Bring a trailer description multiple time is not going to raise the value.
