Last two gates I bought for the heater won’t stop leaking,maybe I just got some bad ones.

Those are 1/2" molded 90degree bends. Gates 28460 is a substitute (for the FJ60). Is this for a 60 or 62?

Good catch. I assumed it was a 60 due to year for the US market.

the tubes deform easily

And as 3_Puppies alludes, use the OE-style Constant-torque spring style hose clamp.

The 90* ones (as listed above) kink since the bend is more like 110 degrees.
