It is in one aspect, I have to park it in the left side of the garage, and our garage is so tight, I cannot get out of the left door and have to slide across the console and get out of the right hand door - or as you would say Charles, the proper door ;)
Sounds like you have a vehicle in the garage that doesn't belong there. You have to prioritize your available space.

That is arguable. The better-half's car is in the garage as is the 73. The 200 lives in the elements :(

In the wise words of some unknown, but very wise rich rapper:

Back that ass up.

FIFY

That would create great unhappiness with the better-half (wish I could channel Monty Python on that) as she does not like the smell of processed diesel. When the 200 (or my former 80) lived in the garage, there svelte asses were backed in .. ;)

I have gone through one instance of "if she ain't happy long enough, you're gonna be unhappy with half your stuff". :bang: In my case, Mr. Foxworthy was an optimist :flush:

I need to send you a few gallons of bio-diesel. Does your better half prefer the smell of fried chicken or is she more of a fried fish kinda gal? :)

Most definitely chicken .... as for me, being from the South, there aint much that I can think of that isn't good fried ;)

Heck, what could be better than a hushpuppy: breaded fried cornbread!

Just remember, the bio-diesel, much like the other thing I sent you, is potentially flammable.

Flammable is good in the right places .. such as internal combustion engines ...

Glad it made it. I want to see evidence of a string of 7 1/2 shot hitting it ;)

Still waiting to see the new intake tubes...............

Still waiting to see the new intake tubes...............
That will be on next weekend's task list. This weekend is not mine to plan ... If you get my drift ;)

I explained to my wife in explicit terms what I would be doing today and its just a coincidence that it is the same thing she wanted to do.

In my case, rather than making a little over a 1,000 mile round trip in the 200 to pick up a trailer that was having major damage repaired, I loaded up the motorhome with the GF and three cats and made the same trip at 8MPG using diesel at $3.40 per gallon rather than gasoline at 14MPG and $2.60 per .... It was 19F outside when we woke up in Crossville, TN yesterday.

On a technical note, while driving I figured out that the motorhome might win a 1/4 mile drag race with the 73. Power to weight ratios (ok torque to weight) are 25 or so for the motorhome and 28 or so for the 73 ( that's curb weight estimate / flywheel torque rating). That could be a really boring slow race ;)

How many people have walked up to your motor home and said ...... Cool Jeep Dude!!!!

Precisely zero. But I have been asked what race team I am with. The motorhome is a medium duty truck conversion in fleet/industrial white.

I accelerated from a dead stop (pushed the throttle all the way to the floor and left it there) and believe it or not, I was actually somewhat impressed with the acceleration. The tach pushed up into the yellow between each gear and I backed off at 70mph. You can actually make the auto gearbox perform if you push it. 70mph was terrifying so I quickly slowed to 45mph ( my normal speed )

Got my Blackstone report a few minutes ago (see attached). It is not perfect, but I have seen worse. Chrome and Silicone are a bit high. Truck had 2,900 kms on oil and about a year. I'll have to wait and see what the next report says ... :meh:

Weekend work will come shortly ... but the preview is "IH8-eletrical work" ;)

Ain't it grande when those days can only be described in top shelf publications?

Got my Blackstone report

A potentially dumb question, but consider the source....furthering that I was just enlightened to the difference between a cougar and a jaguar....who'd have thunk it?

Anyhow...

Did you notice or is it common for diesel to be present in the crankcase?

I've seen in the VMs (which is NOT a 3B, I know) and was said to relatively common in older diesels, and nothing to be concerned about....not that I was in my case, anyway.

Liking this thread ALOT!!!

I honestly do not know. The fuel level in the sample was pretty low and below the threshold value to be worried about. All the diesels I have owned and had Blackstone reports run on we're 1998 and newer vintage. That said, a Ford 7.3 I owned showed a fuel issue in an oil sample that lead me to a dripping injector.

I believe that, especially with the current ULS diesel, fuel in the oil above the threshold level is a baaadddd thing ....
