I can only imagine the number of "what kind of Jeep is that?" questions you get. I got all kinds of questions about my Pinzgauer when I was in LA (lower Alabama for those outside of the Southeastern US).

Not to mention the ones that ask if the steering wheel being on the right side is legal. I assure them that it is not but I plan to stay on the "back roads" while returning home.

Maybe he checks his own oil?

perfect! Thanks

Where is that cupholder pic

The cup holder was a disappointment........
There are so few flat surfaces in the BJ74 with the exception of the small cubby whole / console and the dash, both of which are inappropriate for a cup holder.

Man, you got grubby hands Charles for a left seater....

;)

Those grubby hands belong to the MacGyver / Rembrandt of Land Cruisers.

Well, I know he is required to do a pre-flight walkaround but checking the oil is definitely for the other guys with tools.

There is a digital gauge that probably cost a gazillion dollars that tells me the oil quantity. I'm sure there is a dipstick somewhere is the gauge fails.

sheesh, you guys havn't found out the dash is PERFECT as is for a cup holder?
next time you decide to go for a drive, take a coffee cup (paper or styro) full of water and sit it on the angle of the dash in front of the driver. set it so the top sits against the glass and the bottom flat on the angle.
now go for a drive, not a lunitic drive but a normal day to day tour. watch the drink and you will see it sits perfectly still as you go around the corners (unless you be one of these heavy footers).
Tim and Coffee time cups don't move.
if that doesn't work then i have the perfect cup holders that fit below the radio (or gauge pod).

oh, you are married, playing with your tools comes naturally.

the more time a guy spends in his garage is a sign of how bad his marriage really is.

You undoubtedly are not familiar with the "G" forces that are generated when a 2H accelerates. The coffee cup and it's contents would fly completely over your head. : )

the only time you would experience that scenerio is if you accelerated HARD in reverse then hit the brakes.

That cut deep ....... real deep

Not to mention I would probably need to adjust my old brakes.

People actually drink coffee out of paper or styrofoam cups? Ick.

Styrofoam actually enhances the flavor of Folgers or Maxwell House. :)
