Look like my "dusty" but with lots more miles.....
Nice rig!

what did you use to clean the brake rotors and the chrome on the hubs? And did you pull the actual hub apart to paint it?

Yeah we did pull them all apart. Just wire wheeled everything and used a bench buffer on the chrome. We actually painted over the rotors and used a very light DA sander on it to smooth it all out.

Then buffed the nuts out and put it all back together. Actually incredibly easy and turned out very nice.

Try it out!

Well it looks awesome. I'll have to try it. My hubs are lookin kind of dull.

Well today's report:

Painted firewall
Painted inner fenders
Bought all new replacement H2O hoses, fuel lines, vacuum lines, radiator hoses (ordered most installed the ones we found in stock)
debated what tires/wheel combo...new in house 32/11.5 BFG Muds with black wagon wheels, same tires with stock chrome wheels, or buy 31x10.5's AT for stock wheels.

I think the 32" on stock wheels would be cool, but don't want to scare away any purist type buyers.

What do you guys think?

Like the clean engine

Man I really like clean motors, even if I am going to be the only one seeing it. I tried that tinfoil exhaust on my cruiser, but didn't really hold up. What's your secret?;p

That hub painting should be put up on the $50 mod page. That is a fairly cheap mod and looks like it can't be too tough.
