I think the black looks great. It breaks up the brown blob of the interior and will match fine with black accented seats.

I think I gonna do that to mine

:D

Thanks man. I actually just got mine back from the shop on friday and I decided to pull the carpet out of it. Once I got it out I wasn't sure what to use to get rest of the rid of that stuff. Where did you get the new carpet to go in it?

Our carpet was in decent shape, just need a good cleaning. We used the spraying carpet foam cleaner and a pressure washer.

I know spector sells a nice new carpet kit. Or go custom and make your own!

We used new padding from home depot.

As it sits now with a new set of 30x9.5x15 All Terrains...

looks really really good. You said this was a light resto? I assume this thing was pretty clean to start with. Would you be willing to share any before pictures?

cheers

Looks so much better without the aftermarket window tint. I just removed that crap on mine, and wish I did it a long time ago. Looks great. Engine and bay look real nice. I have to say i am not a big fan of the black interior stuff...embrace the brown. Though I have always wondered about that vinyl paint, and it looks like it works.

Bling Rims

What did you do to get the rims so shiny?

Was there any surface rust?

Looks great.

on my rims which are also original...I got fine steel wool to remove any grime or buildup...light rust...etc. THen after I went over them completely I got the Power Ball and buffed them. Did same for chrome trim on windows, handles, front grill, and around headlight bezels....the fine steel wool works wonders.

Thanks a lot. Had to put this on the back burner for now. Have a few big customer jobs that need to come first. Plus I am currently on a 3 week trip through NV, AZ, and UT in the 4x4 Toyota Chinook!!

We actually got so swamped with customers around the the end of the build that we put it off to the side.

Waiting for a few jobs to head out then going to finish it up and sell it.

Probably by Novemberish...

Just started working on the 60 again so it should be finished and up for sale some time in October.

Or if anybody is interested we can finish it up to their specs.

Fantastic looking 60.

Quick question - what, if anything, did you use to clean your headliner? Looks great.

I want to say I just used some basic household cleaner. It was a while ago. For all I know it could have been windex :D. Cleaned up really well.

That headliner material is a good material to clean with just about anything.

Any Finished interior pictures? I am thinking of going solid black and wondering how your interior came out. Did the vinyl paint last and look good?
