Yes we used rustoleum all the way. The frame was already undercoated so we just pressure washed and wire wheeled it. The springs and axles took the same process. A lot of nasty tedious work, but it payed off well.

If i did not already have my cruiser i would definitely look into buying this one...but am sure it is going to be a pricey purchase for someone...with all that work. :D :D

Trying to talk a guy in around here into buying it....not sure if he contacted you or not but he was drooling over it. LOL

Thanks a lot Brock. Tell your buddy to give me a call and we can discuss it. Are you NC? I get good rates on transport as well so shipping won't be insane.

Thanks a lot.

I'm the guy he's talking about. Auto/manual? Interior pics? PM me with a price. I may be interested in getting rid of my 77' FJ40.

Hey BBQ Boy,

It does have the stock 4 speed manual. The interior is actually getting pulled out and cleaned tomorrow.

We should be about two weeks out on it being 100% finished.

I will contact you later with the sales price as we haven't really pin pointed one yet.

Thanks,
Scott

Well we got a little behind schedule working elsewhere, but just about to finish up.

Took this week to finish up the interior.

OK so we were a little burnt out on ALL the brown inside. So we decided to test out a little vinyl paint and we love the way it turned out. A little more modern.

See the center console...

What did you use to strip off all the old insulation that was still stuck to the floor?

We were planning on using the black wet okole(SP) seat covers. The procar seat idea is good too. They are cheap as well. Thanks man I didn't even consider that.

The black seats will really tie all the black together. It looks a little weird with the seats in it.

Here is the order of what we did. Pretty easy actually.

As much by hand has we could.

wire brush

steel wool with purple power and water

Thanks man. I actually just got mine back from the shop on friday and I decided to pull the carpet out of it. Once I got it out I wasn't sure what to use to get rest of the rid of that stuff. Where did you get the new carpet to go in it?
