So I wanted to get your guys opinion on the Troopy we are fixing up. We originally had it on Ebay, but sale didn't work out, so we decided to keep it and get it back to original as possible. This was neon green before we had it painted. One of the back doors was originally welded shut, so we had that repaired. We are going to add the 4 jump seats in back, and yes, there were originally 4 instead of 2 like the Australian Troopys. Also, we are reupholstering the ceiling and front seats in black vinyl. We are also thinking about adding A/C. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Once it's finished we will be shipping it to Orlando because it's still in Costa Rica with us, and then putting it up for sale on Ebay. I also wanted to mention that we do have references from previous customers and would be happy to provide those to anyone who asks. So here are some pictures of the Troopy as it is now.
I just did a video today showing this Troopy and some of the other HJ45s we have. Here is the link.

My LHD Troopy from Panama had just two sets of long jump seats....like the ones in Europe, Australia, the middle east, Africa, and South America.

Troopy jump seat configuration depends on year/model, not destination country of the build.

I know that.

I was referring to the 45/47 series. Every stock TROOPY photo that I have seen shows the same long back and dual bottoms.... for every year (79-84). The front seat configuration however, did vary by US and nonUSA. (E.g. buckets vs 60/40s.)

Angel,
i like this body style
sadly, the front signals turn me off.

Thanks for the input guys. The reason we think it had 4 back jump seats is because we found the screw holes for the seats that would match 4 seats.
Crusher- If I understand correctly, you are saying that the front signals aren't stock?

yes, those signals are an add on, not stock.

there were quite a few configurations of rear seats ...
none
4 long
rear bench with shorts behind
i am sure there were others as well
common are the 4 long ones

How much would you sell it in country Costa Rica, i.e. no export/import BS? I'll give you $9K USD cash FOB San Jose Costa Rica.

I can't do that since I paid more than that for it, and I've already been offered quite a bit more than that for it.

I've never seen anything other than the longs on the 45/47 series. I've seen some of the configs you're talking about in 44/46 series. Not saying I'm right...just every old stock photo that I've seen shows longs...

Troopy Seats

I searched high and low for my seats. Found a set in Australia. Had him ship just the frames. Media blasted, found some firm high density foam and bought the covers from SOR. Came out pretty nice. I listened to your video, don't think the statement about only 4 known to exist is accurate. Also FYI, if it has the "H" diesel it more than likely a 1980. Mine is also titled as a 1981 but thru research, found out that they made the switch to a 2H in the Troopy series in July of 1980. Mine came with front bucket seats, don't know if they are original but it allows me to fit a Tuffy center console.
